  • This weekend I am -

Thankful I can cook and can turn bits and pieces into meals, I have at least 20 portions of lunches in the freezer made from leftovers or things just past their best which will make morning so much easier when I can just grab a tub out of the freezer.

Grateful for the rain as DS rugby match was cancelled and don't think standing by a cold wet and windy pitch would have been fun.

Satisfied I had a rested weekend but also got everything done that was needed, ready for the week ahead.

£9 made on ebay yesterday, very slow at the moment.

    Have a great week xx
  • Glad the match was cancelled!! I haven’t had a lot of experience with outdoor sports, but I’ve never been so cold as I was when DS1 tried football!! Thankfully he decided it wasn’t for him after a while :o.

    Have a good week Xx

  • Morning, seem to have hit the mid month slump with the finances, nothing coming in just going out and ebay is rubbish at the minute. I suppose its the same for everyone as January is always a rubbish month. Surveys are also slow and nothing nearing payout but I will keep plodding with them.
So looking at ways at home to save money rather than spend, might have a browse on the old style board for some ideas.

Thankful that my family are happy and healthy.
Grateful for being organised with my lunches which gives me 5 extra minutes in bed.
Satisfied with the job I did yesterday when I had to step into something at short notice.

    Have a great day xx

  • Sold a couple of BINs today on ebay so £20 for the holiday pot.
    £5 M&S gift card redeemed.
£2.05 spent on milk and cream and £25 on fuel.
  • Morning.

Had a busy working week and felt utterly exhausted yesterday, managed to get the weekly shop done but apart from that I just chilled and caught up with TV from the week that I had missed.

Yesterdays grocery spends came in at £21 in Sainsburys and £73 in lidl, lidl should have been less but they had sirloin steaks on offer, 2 steaks for £6.99 so got 2 packs and have out them in the freezer for Mr PWPS birthday tea in a couple of weeks time, so it was £14 unplanned for for this week but will save me money in the long run. Does mean only £5 got transferred into the holiday pot.

Speaking of holiday pot, Mr PWPS tax bill was less than he was expecting so we have decided to add the surplus to the holiday pot and get a holiday booked for the summer, always good to have something to lok forward to.

Ebay and surveys limping along, another couple of bits to list today and a few surveys to do. Tea tonight is beef cobbler so need to get that in the slow cooker, might also make so chocolate brownies whilst i'm in the kitchen.

    Have a great weekend xx

    Morning.

Still plodding through the month, Friday is payday and it can't come soon enough.

The week has been busy and has felt as though it has dragged, beginning of the week I felt awful, really bad headache that I couldn't shift and ached all over, thankfully whatever it was has now passed but has left me feeling exhausted so I have decided on a chilled weekend to recharge he batteries.

Yesterdays food shop wasn't too bad, spent £21 in Sainsburys and £38 in lidl, hopefully there will be some money left in that pot on Thursday to go towards holiday pot.

Had a few ebay sales this week and made about £20, £10 received from a survey site and £2 cashback from shopimum, all of which has gone into holiday pot and have redeemed £5 from receipt hog.
Speaking of holidays we have booked a summer holiday for the end of August, just a week in spain but will be a lovely break.

So today is going to be a pottering day around the house, stove is lit, have chucked together a carrot and lentil soup, found a packet bread mix in the cupboard which I will chuck together shortly and that's lunches for the weekend sorted, need to make some sort of cake/traybake.

    Have a great weekend.

My payday is Friday too. Seems like forever since the last one.

Well done on the eBay sales and survey money, all the little bits add up.

Glad you shook off the lurgy.

    Have a nice weekend :)
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Hoping you continue to feel better and feel refreshed by the end of the weekend, the holiday pot is building up nicely - I haven't been to Spain for years!

I've also make soup today from the left over chicken from last night, might try and convince dh to make some rolls to go with it.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, H x
