Would rather less tea/coffee, croissants and chocolate...

...and more 5% regular savers (fixed) for 12 months with £500 monthly pay-in.

    :)

If you're reading Virgin Money, you know what to do.

    ;)

  • Hi Folks,

    Here is this weekend's update.

    - Principality BS Regular Saver Bond (Issue 17) details updated to show that you can miss as many payments as you wish
    - Nottingham BS Regular Saver (Issue 2) account withdrawn and replaced with issue 3 paying 1.5% on up to £500 per month indefinitely

I will do another update next weekend.

As I mentioned in posts 4791 and 4792 the maximum deposit per month is £250. I have this from their printed publicity handed to me on Thursday. Though others have said £500 I don't think my source could be incorrect having been given to me so recently.

Tiny amendment due to the max balance figure too.

I suspect the flyer is wrong.
The website says £500 and the downloadable key product information has been revised to say £500 as well.
I was told £500 in branch on the 5th Jan.

I also have an older (1 week) flier where all figures are based on £250 pm. The website is now clearly based on £500 pm so I reckon the £500 is the operative amount.

The new pdf fact sheet has a reference : LIT2616/0117

My older fact sheet has a reference : LIT2616/1216
  • I opened the tigers yesterday and was told about the issue 3 being £500 per month.

Its a copy and paste issue as I mentioned in my post before yours - post 4788.

They had a similar copy and paste issue previously on docs when referring to deduction of tax.

    Max contribution is 500pm

    I stand corrected :o

A good thing I wasn't relying on it for something life threatening!

"Thank you for pointing this out to us. It seems that the first batch of new fact-sheets we printed had the incorrect information. We have replaced them all with the most up-to-date versions, which confirm a maximum monthly deposit of £500 for the account. I’ve attached a copy of the latest fact-sheet. Thank you once again and apologies for the confusion"
