I wonder what will happen when people forget to cancel his SO.
Will it be bouncing back or what ?
I was told, in branch, that further payments would be returned to the account from which they came.

It's advisable to take 2 forms of identification (maybe driving license and passport). We've been with them for many years but their system still 'required' it, but only for my husband!!

Strictly speaking they need something with your address on, so the driving licence is ideal, or a recent utility bill. I produced my pass-book for Issue 1 (store) as ID plus my passport. Even with that a search was made on their system to confirm my address!

The Virgin Money Regular E-Saver has a new issue:

    Virgin Money Regular E-Saver Issue 2 maturing 20th December 2017 2.25% http://uk.virginmoney.com/savings/find/regular_e_saver_issue_2/overview/

The terms allow you to open one account per issue so it is possible to open this and save another £250 per month, even if you already have the first issue E-Saver account.

The website also lists a branch operated passbook regular savings account paying 2.25% http://uk.virginmoney.com/savings/find/regular_saver_issue_1/overview/ It is a different account to the E-Saver therefore I can't see any reason why you couldn't have one of those accounts as well.

In theory up to £750 a month at 2.25% plus access to the Virgin Money lounges and regular free prize draws :money:

I already have Virgin Money Regular e-saver i1 open in September 2016 and have been making payment of £250 a month

I am living in London so no problem to open it in Branch if the condition required this as they have branches in different location in London which I could easily reach.

The above post is saying "on theory up to £750 a month".

    1. Does it mean I could also open, Regular e-saver i2, Regular saver i1 in addition to my existing Regular e-saver i1 ?

    2. Has anyone successfully done this ?

Thanks in advance for the answer ...

Thanks. This is also probably what I am going to do.
    1. Open Regular Saver i1 in Branch as this must be open in Branch.
    2. AFTER the Regular Saver i1 is open I will open Regular e-Saver i2 online. I prefer not to open Regular e-Saver i2 before Regular Saver i1 is confirmed to reduce resistance from uninformed staff in the branch if any ....

Do you see any problem with that or I have made it too complicated for myself ???

    Thanks

I don't think it matters which way round to do it. I just called in to open my second account branch account and the adviser remarked it was my third regular saver. I just said 'yes, you have to get the best interest rate that you can'.

It's regular branch saver two which you can get now - not issue 1. Sorry, I misread your post. Regular branch saver 1 was withdrawn 10/01/2017

I currently have regular e-saver 1 and regular e-saver 2 and will be attempting to open store regular saver 2 (and store regular saver 1 if allowed but I assume it may no longer available following the launch of store issue 2) tomorrow at branch so will report back here after.

I would like to know this too. NW state that you can only have one Regular Saver or Flexclusive Regular Saver. Don't try, don't get. ;)

I can advise that Nationwide recently closed my Regular Saver at 2% and transferred the full closing balance (including interest) to my Flex Current Account. My Flexclusive RS at 5% is unaffected. A simple search on their database would highlight all offenders.

Thanks, splendid generic answer that I will remember when I am asked this question ...
