I currently have regular e-saver 1 and regular e-saver 2 and will be attempting to open store regular saver 2 (and store regular saver 1 if allowed but I assume it may no longer available following the launch of store issue 2) tomorrow at branch so will report back here after.

Went to my appointment today in London Haymarket branch. Opened store reg saver issue 2 and got my passbook. Also allowed me to open issue 1 as my appointment was made to open issue 1 before it was withdrawn earlier this week, though will have to be opened by head office and they'll post me my passbook. Overall 45 mins or so but would have been quicker if not for the issues around the issue 1 as they had to phone head office to check and took a while to get through. Also registered me for the lounge but unfortunately had none of the prior mentioned chocolates left so had to make do with a couple of custard creams! Overall very helpful and friendly service; and they could see on system I already had the online esaver version of the reg saver both issues 1 and 2 so no problem with me now holding all four.

My M&S Monthly Saver matured yesterday. I could open a new one straight away today. Still fixed 5% AER and £250 max per month.

You still can only open the account by calling them, and they do check that you previously switched to them and have at least 2 DDs. They read out all the T&Cs and FSCS protection stuff. 17 minutes of my life that I will never get back - the things I do for a bit of interest these days :p

Mine has gone from my online list of accounts and when I looked into getting another one I got a message saying that I still had one so it looks as if I am in limbo until my matured funds reach my current account.

I did not get my previous saver by switching to M & S and I don't have two DDs, so it's not going to be as easy as I thought to get another one.

My M&S Monthly Saver had also vanished from the account list - they say it can disappear for up to 5 days. I don't know how long mine had gone as I don't log in there every day (positively hate their security keypad thingy!). All I do know is that the matured amount appeared in my current account on maturity date. Like you, I got the message that I already had a monthly saver when I tried to apply for another one before maturity. Once it matured, the online application will simply tell you to call them....

I doubt they will give you a new monthly saver now if you haven't switched before and don't have 2 DDs. Their switch offer has become [STRIKE]slightly[/STRIKE] less attractive now but at £170 over 2 years, it might still be worth doing if you are still eligible for it. NOTE: eligibility for the switch offer now includes that you switched within 3 months of opening the current account.

Yes, I was told that - You need to switch to them with an account with 2 active DD's to get a new regular saver.

Their switch offer has become slightly less attractive now but at £170 over 2 years, it is still very much worth doing if you are still eligible for it.

If you already hold an M&S current account and switch, I was told that you will not get the £170 over 2 years deal :(

It seems the deal is getting less attractive by the day :(
