Shouldn't they rename it 'Small Terraced House Saver'?

Thanks to the carnage following the 0.25% interest rate reduction there may be people looking at RS rates below 2%.

As advised by Newbury BS letter dated 19-08-2016.
Just about all savings rates are reduced.

The RS Save2spend reduced to 1.25% from 1.50% effective 19-10-2016

Remember that it's only available to existing members or new members with IP, NR, CO, CM, CB or PE postcodes.

I did speak to them recently to ask if the rate would be reducing, their response was along the lines of "we're still reviewing the impact". They didn't seem prepared to commit to anything.
  • Hi Everybody,

I have completed this weekend's update for the first page of this thread.

    - Progressive BS interest rate drop from 2.2% to 1.5% from 1st September noted on entries for their regular saver account in post 2
    - Swansea BS interest rate dropped to 2.5% (post 5, interest rate appears to have dropped immediately for new customers looking at their wesbite)
    - Darlington BS High Days & Holidays Bonus Saver interest rate dropping to 1.75% from 10th October noted in post 2 (I have also put a note on the entry for the children's version of this account in post 3 indicating that this interest rate could well drop too)

Many thanks to the forum users who have provided useful information regarding interest rate changes.

I will do another update next weekend.

I am not sure if the three year account life period still applies
