That's useful - I closed my accounts with the Leeds when they forced closure of the old issue.
However, I've just checked my online login and it still works and I can apply.
Sad really - excited about 2.3% :-(
Yes I've just applied for one too (already have issue 3 and it didn't say anywhere that I couldn't have an issue 4 too, so well see what happens!
It's on the Leeds Building Society website now too which confirms the 2.3% rate:-
https://www.leedsbuildingsociety.co.uk/savings/access-accounts/regularsaver/
So it's 0.5% with a 1.8% bonus provided you make no more than 1 withdrawal per year. Seems to be no end period, however there is a maximum balance of £6000.0 -

Well I can't find anything to say you can't. I also have issue 3 and it just let me apply for issue 4 online without any problems. So will have to wait and see if they accept my application form and bank my cheque!0 -

I've just applied online and my application has been accepted. They know that I have Issue 3. Fingers crossed that they don't return my form and cheque saying that there was a mistake.0 -
The Leeds BS Regular Saver Issue 4
Maximum operating balance £6,000 (excluding accrued interest). If the balance exceeds £6,000 (excluding accrued interest) the interest rate that shall apply to the whole balance will be 0.50% Gross‡p.a/AER† (variable).
Need to bear in mind, it is different from the Issue 3 which is:-
The minimum monthly payment is £50 and the maximum monthly payment is £250 (£250 for joint accounts
also). The minimum investment and operating balance is £50. The maximum investment and operating
balance is £1,000,000 (£1,000,000 for joint accounts). In the event that the balance falls below the minimum
operating balance, the basic investment rate of interest, which is currently 0.05% Gross § p.a./AER†
(variable) shall apply.0 -

A couple of extra points about this account:
The £6000 limit is excluding accrued interest (which must be credited to the account) so maximum deposits and no withdrawals means it will last for two years.
The deposit monthly requirement is calendar monthly so it's advisable to make your standing order dated on the first, whether you started it today or later.0 -
Leeds RS4 - Anyone know if you can make a deposit immediately upon opening as the site seems to suggest the first deposit must be made by cheque.0

I paid cash in a branch.
Which earns interest from today
Incidentally you can't check or operate this account online, phone calls or branch visits is the way to go. You get a passbook which can only be updated in a branch. I was told.0
