I seem to remember it's an overnight matter. But may be you have to wait for "next working day processing" now, i.e. it could be Monday or even Tuesday before she can do it online. Have you tried calling them about it? 0800 302010

Still no luck so may try the online application form.

Have to answer no when asked "Have you registered for Internet Banking?" but the form does have the question "Are you registered for Online Banking"
  • The Leeds BS Regular Saver Issue 3 (3.05% variable) appears to have been withdrawn.

You may be aware that the Bank of England has recently announced a decrease to its base rate, for the first time in over 7 years. Whilst we do everything we can to protect the rates we pay to our members, we do need to ensure we offer savings rates that are both attractive and financially sustainable in the long term. We have therefore had to make the difficult decision to reduce our variable savings rates to ensure we maintain a healthy business for all our members.

    What’s happening?

You may have received a communication in July, informing you of changes to names, terms and conditions and interest rates on some of our products. Due to the Bank of England base rate decrease, we’ll be making a number of further reductions to the interest rates on our variable rate savings products in September.

Just been told she will have to wait till Monday before she can open the Flexclusive Reg!

I can see that you only changed your account on 6th August to FlexDirect account. This won't update on our systems to show you as a prime customer and therefore eligible to apply for a Flexclusive Regular Saver immediately. Our systems update over the weekend, so you will need to wait until Monday when you will be able to go ahead and apply for this account.

    That's pretty dire
  • Oh dear - the KRBS 4% regular saver has disappeared from their website. Eagerly hoping they replace it with something that is at least reasonably (comparatively) good, as my current one matures soon.

  • Rate reduction from 01-09-2016.

This is a massive drop from 2% to 1.3%.

In all the savage cutting since the BoE rate reduction I think this has to be one of the worse so far.

I can confirm that holders of the Santander Regular eSaver (issue 1) can apply for the Regular eSaver (issue 2). They are completely separate accounts.

I am an existing Regular eSaver (issue 1) customer and I successfully applied for issue 2 this evening. The account is now open.

They are actually listed as 'Regular eSaver (issue 1)' and 'Regular eSaver (issue 2)' on online banking.

The terms and conditions refers to "Maximum one account per customer in sole name only" but this only applies to the specific issue you are opening.

Well done Kazza. As yet I have seen no other saver claiming to have done the same.

I called in at a Branch with no real luck but the lady did take on board the Issue 1 and Issue 2 angle.

I further tried last night by a telephone call (18.30). The operative was quite helpful and even went to double check with his supervisor but again no luck.
