Hi Folks,
I have completed this weekend's update for the first page of this thread.
- Santander Regular eSaver paying 3% for new applicants plus Kazza242 reports being able to open a second account (in addition to an old one paying 5%) but many other MSE users report it is not possible (updated in post 5)
- Norwich & Peterborough BS Monthly Regular Saver (post 3) account can no longer be opened by telephone (branch only) and added a comment that steve65e reports this account can be opened in branches of Yorkshire BS and Chelsea BS
- Norwich & Peterborough BS Gold Savings (post 5) cannot be opened by telephone now but the website now says it can be opened by post
I will do another update next weekend.

Doesn't inspire confidence that they can't get the month right
I opened mine on 29 July.0 -
Cambridge website now shows correct date 9th August.
I'm not surprised its being withdrawn though.0 -
For the flex direct account few people have confirmed that the system could pick up if you have two of these accountants and therefore you will only one ac with 5% interest.
Has anyone tried to test the system for RSA whether the system could detect if you open two or more RSAs with Nationwide???
Is there anyway where to ask the monthly interest payment instead of annual, so you could detect it earlier and if the interest is not paid you could close it after one month ??
Personally i don't see why a couple should be able to have individual and joint accounts when a single person is restricted to one.0 -
It might be easier to find yourself someone to open a joint account with than arguing against joint accounts.
Surely that option is only open to a couple. I doubt i could just do this with a friend. I am not arguing against joint accounts. I just don't see why a couple should have 2 individual accounts AND a joint account0 -

I seem to remember it's an overnight matter. But may be you have to wait for "next working day processing" now, i.e. it could be Monday or even Tuesday before she can do it online. Have you tried calling them about it? 0800 302010
Just been told via secure messaging that it takes 3 to 5 days for the system to update.
Hope it doesn't take as long as 5 days.0
