Oh goody, another RS, and this time with my new favourite bank. Bit pants in terms of limits but still worth a call to the Select team tomorrow.
Interestingly I've been keeping a very close eye on Santander recently as I'm hoping for a new ISA rate to be revealed. But this account totally passed me by...:o0 -

Don't beat yourself up - it only launched yesterday, and we can't all spend all day, every day, looking for the best way to eke out our savings;)0 -

I opened mine last night and the process took about 25 mins.
He initially said I could transfer £200 direct from my current account for my first payment but after reading the T&Cs, he changed his mind and said it's better if the 1st payment came from a standing order.
I set up the standing order at 8pm and the first payment was taken early this morning.0 -

Maybe they'll offer us another 18month at 4.5%!!
I am hoping they will let us withdraw our money by BACS but I doubt it. It will probably be by cheque only.0 -

S.O set up to go out tomorrow, I just took a look, clicked on Standing Order, could see MonthlySaver, clicked "take me to" and there is an option to amend amount and date etc.0 -
I don't think you will benefit much from changing the date. Your account month starts on the day of opening, i.e. today in your case. If you SO £200 tomorrow, that's your month maxed until 17th April. If you tried to be smart and change the SO date to April 1, your money will be returned.
Shouldn't it be maxed unitil 15th April, not 17th?
If opened today, account month will be 15th March to 14th April and earliest next payment will be 15th April.0 -
Was in branch today for other reasons, asked about new reg saver and have to make an appointment, and no appointments available for ages.
Was told account will be available on line 'in due course'
Same as me, 3 weeks time! Before anyone says phone, my wife wants one as well and she doesn't do phoning very well.0
