Info needed: Name, Address, DoB, Sort code, Account number, last 4 digits of debit card, expiry date, CVV code, email address, mobile number.

Hmmm, I wasn't asked for 'last 4 digits of debit card, expiry date, CVV code', I wonder why they wanted those?

Dunno, only proves I have the card (or the details...) to hand. I said I'd set up the SO myself, how about you?

Just been into branch to set one up, probably around twenty minutes altogether but not helped by the fact that I didn't take my debit card with me.

The lady opening it said it was announced to staff in Friday, they were supposed to be training today so no real notice for staff.

I was also asked for these details.

Nice young man with the Irish accent offered to transfer me to the team who could set up my SO for me, but I thought it better to have him open an account for my husband saving him the wait time & the muzak:p

My account appeared online in about 30 minutes and I've set up the SO for tomorrow:)

Has anyone received a maturity letter for the Chorley 18 month Sunshine account yet?

It's maturing at the end of this month and automatically changing into an instant access account paying about 0.15% interest so it's possible that they won't be sending out letters.

I'll wait until the middle of next week and if still no maturity letter, I'll post out my passbook with a covering letter.

None here - they originally said they would contact with options 14 days before maturity so I expect an envelope to hit the doorstep before the weekend.

Agreed .. just another regular saver to me. (Tally now 60).

    60:on the go?

I've got 6. Are there 60 worth having?

Not got the new Santander one yet. Can't face a lengthy phone call or branch visit and have mislaid my debit card, which could complicate matters.

Oh goody, another RS, and this time with my new favourite bank. Bit pants in terms of limits but still worth a call to the Select team tomorrow.

Interestingly I've been keeping a very close eye on Santander recently as I'm hoping for a new ISA rate to be revealed. But this account totally passed me by...:o

Don't beat yourself up - it only launched yesterday, and we can't all spend all day, every day, looking for the best way to eke out our savings;)
