Regular Savings Accounts: The Best Currently Available List!

Hello everybody,

I have removed the Newcastle 10% Regular Saver which seems to have disappeared (it was one of those regular savers that required savers to also invest in a guaranteed equity bond at the same time).

I have also checked all the other links (which are still correct). Whilst checking the links, I noticed that the Tesco Internet Saver (which is in the feeder account section) has a promotion again for free Tesco Clubcard points if you open a new account - up to 2,000 points on offer. The cashback site offers for this account seem to have permanently disappeared.

There are no new regular savings accounts that I can see.

I will not be able to do an update for this thread next weekend but I shall be back the weekend after that.

Best Feeder Accounts

These are accounts where you can leave a large lump sum and drip feed the money into your regular savers each month. Certain accounts (such as ICICI and IceSave accounts) are not listed here as they cannot transfer money directly to regular savings accounts. Paying 6.25% gross p.a. variable from 29th May 2008 (includes 1.5% bonus interest for 12 months) on balances up to £100,000. Minimum balance £1. Instant access, penalty free. Operated by Royal Bank of Scotland Group. Account sends and receives Faster Payments. You can set up an unlimited number of payees. Payments can either leave immediately or be scheduled for a future date.

I think the Newcastle account can be added back (although I do not think the structured products are particularly attractive so I would not recommend this account myself).

Hello all,

can anyone tell me if people have applied for the Halifax International Regular Saver and if they have had any problems with this.

is this the best Regular saver at the moment? I am put off slightly by the International bit..

It's an offshore account and the IOM Depositors' Protection Scheme is not great - 75% of up to £20,000 - i.e. maximum compensation of £15,000.
