DD's are different to standing orders, you could set up standing orders between the accounts which would be the easy option. Doubt Lloyds will be so charitable though and require DD's set up.0

Are the details of this online as I have 5 of the accounts from the last time the rates were good. Is the DD requirement for new or existing customers with these accounts?
Edit: Found details here but no mention of exisitng account holders: http://www.myfinances.co.uk/savings/2012/09/08/lloyds-tsb-vantage-account-offers-chance-to-earn-235-interes0 -
From what I've read, the DD requirement is for all customers. Ie, to get the 4%, otherwise its 0% above 5K.0

I already have one DD set up from my Vantage a/c. Now in the process of changing my Virgin media DD to Lloyds.0

I called to check if existing customers are eligible and they are so long as they meet all the requirements of the account.
It's 12 months only though, after which no interest is paid on anything over 5K. Not sure what would happen to the rates though then, could they drop again?0 -
Hi Folks,
Thanks MoneySaverLog. I cannot see the details on the Lloyds TSB website at the moment but I have put a note on my entry in the feeder account section about this.
I also forgot to mention that I updated the HSBC regular saver accounts with the new interest rates (4% and 6%) earlier this week (thanks F4!).

If the 4% is only payable on the top layer between 5k and 6k, this gives a rate of 3.16% on the 6k. Hardly as eye catching as first seems. This extra 1% on 1k will earn you £10 for which you have to set up 2 direct debits.
I have 3 vantage accounts but I don't think I will bother?0 -

It never worked like that before, so there's no reason why it should now. This is how it has been working so far:Interest rates apply to your whole balance. For example, if you have £4,000 in your account you will receive an interest rate of 3.00% AER on your entire balance.

Looks like we have to call them to request the 4%. From the Lloyds TSB website...

"Existing Vantage customers
If you’ve already got a current account with Vantage - but want to take advantage of this limited Vantage offer - just visit your nearest branch. They’ll sort everything out for you. Or if you already have two Direct Debits on your account, call 0800 015 4000. Open Mon - Fri 8am - 10pm, Sat & Sun 8am - 6pm."0 -

Yes, I think I had a glass of wine too many when I thought that one through, apologies!0
