Shame they have introduced the 2 DD rule. Bound to happen I guess to stop people using them as a savings account.

Time to see what unused credit cards I have that can be used to point to the Vantage accounts...
  • Told this morning the offer is limited to one vantage account only. They would not allow me to add the 4% 12 month option to all 3, I had to pick one account for this offer and get the DD's set up on this by 31st October.
  • Does anyone know if the direct debits for the Vantage account have to be paid (i.e. the money actually called for), or whether it can be just be set up, such as with an old credit card?

The latter I hope. Just moved a old AA Savings DD and set up a Paypal DD which hardly ever get used. Think so long as it's active there should not be a issue.

You could just call and ask, they're probably feed up with me having called twice about this already.

May be you got to speak to some jobsworth who isn't quite up to date? "Customers are limited to a total of 3 Vantage Accounts", according to http://www.lloydstsb.com/current_accounts/vantage4.asp (on the "How To Apply" tab)

Perhaps best to ring them for one account at a time

Perhaps discussion of this vantage offer should be moved to a more specific thread. It's also being discussed in a thread about savings accounts with DD's and in https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4104719
  • Yes you can have 3 vantage accounts but they'll only apply the 4% option to one of them, i.e. your main account.
  • Yes it would appear who you talk too, just went through on option 1 and they put the new vantage on all 3 :-)

I was told that they needed to be 'active', but they wouldn't confirm how often.

Do you have any DD setup on these already?
