A month or so late on this but am a bit confused by the Nationwide Flexclusive account. Do you have to have been paying in £750 for 3 months to open it or are you eligible if you use their switcher service? It says on the website that you can do both at the same time but Nationwide seem to be making it difficult for me to d o this. Has anyone else opened it this way?0
-
If you switch DDs from elsewhere, you are eligible instantly, else its three months of £750/month.
To open a Flexclusive such as Regular savings, they will need proof of accounts transfer (switch).0 -
Cheers Gromitt. This is what I have done and am still having trouble with it. Switched my DD's using their switcher service and opened up the regular savings at the same time (As it says you can do on their website) and now they're saying that I need to wait until I have paid three £750's into the account before I can apply. Rang and emailed them and still don't seem close to sorting it. Just seems like a lot of effort for what is really only a little bit more money over a 12 month period. I can see why people get put off changing stuff like bank accounts and energy bills.0

Hi Everybody,
I have updated the Lloyds TSB Vantage entry in the feeder account section to include the 4% interest deal. I cannot find anything else that has changed.
I will do another update next weekend.

People who had a Halifax/Bank of Scotland feeder account in 2011/12, should check this article about incorrect interest payments!Dagobert0

Santander have a new E-Saver Issue 7 now only at 2.8%. Glad I got in on Issue 5 :rotfl:0

In that case, is it worth mentioning a Santander 123 current account as a potential feeder account? On its own it would be a bad idea, but if you can get the cashback to cover the fee for you, it becomes a contender. (Also need a minimum balance to get interest, but the same is true of the Lloyds vantage account.)
(I've finally got round to opening one of these...)0 -
Would agree, Santander 123 with cashback is a fab feeder account. The cashback amount varies from person to person - I have all my eligible DDs with Santander and make approx £90 (after account fees) in cashback a year.
PLUS get cashback when you open a 123 acct -

Hi Folks,
Thanks to the people who posted above. I have updated the feeder account section. I have changed the Santander eSaver account from issue 6 to issue 7 (only pays 2.8%) and included the Santander 123 account. I cannot find anything else to change.
I will do another update next weekend.
