The Teachers BS Regular Saver Issue 4 is no longer available, and has not been replaced.
Post 4 mentions the Dunfermline Platimum Monthly Saver Issue 1, and says the conditions are the same as the Cheshire account referenced in Post 3. However, there is no reference to the Cheshire account in Post 3.
Both these branch based accounts are still available.

It also appears that the 2.85% Natwest E-savings account has had it's rate cut to 1.00%.0

I opened a Platinum Monthly Saver Issue 5 at the Chorley branch this afternoon, and mentioned the "rumour" that it was to be withdrawn by the end of the month. This was confirmed as being correct (to be withdrawn on the 31st), and that staff had no knowledge of any replacement.0

It looks like they won't be launching an issue 6 but are keeping the issue 5.
It is now effectively an 11 month regular saver so the AER has been lowered to up to 4.67%.

"For example, if you saved £500 a month for 11 months from 1 November 2012 for the fixed term until 30 September 2013 without making any withdrawals, you earn £137.52 gross interest by the fixed end date based on the current rate of 4.67% AER (5.00% gross p.a.) variable."lightbulb2760 wrote: »I opened a Platinum Monthly Saver Issue 5 at the Chorley branch this afternoon, and mentioned the "rumour" that it was to be withdrawn by the end of the month. I've just reread the blurb about the Xmas Saver and it seems it is optional if you want to pay in for November and December but in any case you will have to close it by 31st December.
- Payments in must be received in each calendar month to 31 October 2012 but are not required in November and December 2012
- Withdrawals or closure permitted with effect from 1 November 2012 to maturity (31 December 2012)0 -
Hi Folks,
Here is this weekend's update:
- Teachers BS account withdrawn (as mentioned above)
- Corrected my entry on the Dunfermline BS account; this referred to an almost identical Cheshire BS account in post 3 (which I had moved last month to post 7 as the account now has less than 12 months until maturity); I have changed the reference to say "post 7" now. Both Cheshire and Dunfermline BS are part of Nationwide BS.
- Removed the NatWest account from the feeder account section (interest rate dropped to 1% as mentioned above)
- Removed the Santander account from the feeder account section (interest rate dropped to 1.5%)
I presume that mary's post above refers to the West Bromwich Xmas Saver launched last year as I cannot see a new account at the moment on their website.
I will do another update next weekend.

Have just looked, it would appear to be branch based for both of them.0
-
Yes, both are strictly branch only.0
