@Buffythedebtslayer - there's a lot of demand for online tutoring at the moment. Lots of people are concerned that their kids have got behind as they've struggled with homeschooling. Most of it seems to work well over zoom. Lots of people are using local FB groups to advertise and to find tutors, so no need to go through a company. Just keep a record of what you've earned, and fill in your tax return at the end of the year. You may owe a bit of tax, but if this is money for savings it'll be there at the end of the year

"The path to success is to take massive determined action" Tony Robbins
After feeling so rotten yesterday I took it easy today, did some school work, got some essentials from the local shop (good bye savings lol) walked the dogs and did some washing. Tried to nap but couldn't! Yay!
I did do a walk round of the garden and specifically the rabbit area. I have a lot to do. The weeds have taken over in there. one was half the size of me!
My vegetable garden is actually doing pretty wellIt is quite exciting to see the courgettes and tomatoes. I do need to move the Squash though, it is taking over the world. If I moved that to one of the new raised beds I could use the pot for the Apple tree I bought.
The corn in pots is doing better than the corn in the raised bed but I think it gets too much sun maybe? As it is very pale green compared to the pots on the other side who are much darker green with the start of corns or flowers I suppose.
My only failure is broad beans.......they all got eaten bar oneBloody snails!
I have to seriously sort out the sheds. Since BIL got sick (three years ago this week) it has become a dumping ground and I never have tackled the lean to shed thing. Weather looks decent this week. Dare I brave the spiders? I really hate the lean to!
It would be amazing if I could sort those spaces out as it would free up huge amounts of space in the house... Could use the lean to for recycling and rubbish. And mum's five lawn mowers that she won't get rid of. Ok maybe it is three!
And my shed could be much emptier. A fair bit of it was kept because I could get to the tip! I could organise the tools better and the garden stuff... Be ruthless with the stuff. I last did it five years ago, then I had all the trouble with the neighbour from hell, couldn't access the shed again till 2018 and really I just dumped things in there. My lack of decision making is astounding!
Tomorrow I am going to walk the dogs, and lay the membrane and the bark round the two sheds. I would be pretty happy if I could do that.
Then if I am not dead I will weed the other raised bed which I am going to turn in to a mini garden thing. with astro turf....(I have a sample and a kinda plan......not sure it will work! so will lay the membrane for that too and see what I think.
Edited to add - I am meeting some friends for coffee tomorrow! I will have tea
Well I have rambled enough. XXX Lets hope I don't lose this post!

Right so today was a bust in one way, it was too hot for me in the garden in any case but I met my friends for coffee etc which was lovely, I thought it would be quick as one of the gang has a terrible back (am so worried about her) but she managed an impressive 3 hours! so that was basically my day! and I bought a pear tree...........as you do....
Then when I came home we had dinner........... and it was hot and I had to clean up and then I had a nap.........and then it was 7.30pm.
so yeah.............garden not so much......... off to sort out my plans for the week. The last week of term. Weird.Nevertheless she persisted.6 -
Very impressed with your successful vegetable growing skills. We used to grow a few bits and bobs when we had a greenhouse and Mr SA was able bodied. I'd like to get another greenhouse so we can start growing them again. Is your patch all raised beds? I can't believe it's 3 years since BIL got sick, that's flown by. How is he doing now?
Glad you enjoyed meeting up with friends 😁

Things here are not good. Not good at all really.
I seemed to live at the vets recently, the new rabbit has cost me about 600 pounds plus my original rabbit needs an x ray. Work was super stressful in the end and then this weekend I went to the vets 4 times.....
Things are a !!!!!! with D. head but we all know that don't we? I mean to be fair to him they are no different. I just wish things were different. Stupid old me.
I don't have any enthusiasm for the summer right now. I don't see how I can any where with so many health compromised animals! Tho saying that I am celebrating the end of term tomorrow with my friend and staying at hers. I can finally get drunk!
I just think lockdown amplified everything and really my life was just about getting through the day, fighting exhaustion and never really enjoying anything aside from time with people I love. which I know is important but it isn't a goal, it isn't enough, as really I don't have anything of my own? I don't really have a goal, the savings sort of happen automatically and now are disappearing. And I don't think I really believe things will get better. It has been very hard with mum, I think even she would acknowledge it is hard to be two adults in a house together without a break.
All my careful savings plans have gone out the window. If the new bunny continues to be this ill I don't know what I will do. And my boy might need a specialist. the insurance should pay but it is dicey.
So yeah. fun times. sorry, wish I could be positive but not today!Nevertheless she persisted.4 -
So sorry that things are so tough.

Sorry to hear it Buffy, fingers crossed the rabbits get well.As you say lockdown amplifies everything and I think a lot of us are finding it just as difficult coming out as going in. For months everything has been about the small stuff and then suddenly I find myself blinking in the sunlight and wondering what now!Can you schedule in some fun stuff, even if its long weekends rather than going away?RB xxDebt free May 2016...
