    Evening folks,
I have a CC bill of 216 English pounds, Rabbit insurance, Netflix and 11 quid on Amazon...
I have cashed out 35 quid from Swagbucks and have to "make" the rest.....181.
I could just take it out of the savings since it is rabbit insurance but I need to remind myself a bit of the value of money. Plus so bored and in need of distraction from impending doom, second spike, breakdown of society of as we know it ...you know the standard stuff these days!

Have to say, massively inspired by Emz.

    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Took all the "odd numbers" out of my accounts and the Paypal money, paid off 65 pounds but forgot some regular payments went out so it was 230 and change, so now it is 166.
Tomorrow I am going to list some things to sell. Selling stuff at a tenner would mean selling 16 things.........hmmm. And really for quickest sale (must get rid of crap) I need to sell things for a fiver.....
I am zooming with friends in a bit.
Hope all is well with everyone XXXX

  • Not much of an update. Had various bits of bad news over the last week. Nothing I want to share yet, bit emotional and raw to write about. So lets stick to the practical stuff.
Garden wise had conversation with Mum re garden and made a plan - cheaper than her original ideas (she was always going to pay) which is a relief as I think given the current situation she should have some savings - read on for why specifically! We are going to have four raised beds outside, two I bought last year for my bit of the garden and two she has bought for her bit, We are only growing flowers/plants (well I am growing all sorts) but it is much cheaper than her patio plans and I can do the work myself. Until the last week, I was really looking forward to doing it but am bit distracted now.

House wise, the conservatory now has about 8 leaks in the roof. The huge rain has meant a fair bit of stuff is now ruined. Mum doesn't seem to get how serious it is and thinks it will be fine once it dries out. I think differently as the floor is getting soaked (water runs down the wall continually) under the tiles and I can smell wet plaster, plus today it smells! Hopefully it will dry out with the forthcoming hot weather and buy me some time to empty it more and thus make it easier to fix. Will have to be done by the winter.  But frankly with this shambles of government who knows where we will be in Winter! That is also regularly devastating me.
Money wise get paid in a week. Keep getting screened out of surveys. CC is higher due to buying garden stuff but Mum will pay me. I suppose things are happening, I just don't especially care right now.
I need to catch up with work this weekend, do some more in the garden. collect more rubbish, more tip stuff, more charity shop stuff. Keep moving right. Control what you can control.

    take care all XXX

    Nevertheless she persisted.

You're not old Buffy, the fact that you're due on means you're still young and fertile 😀 Wait until you get to my age.  I can't believe I'll be 60 in August, now that's officially old 😒 I really don't feel it though and as far as I can see I still don't have any grey hairs but then my hair is quite fair so not so easy to spot. My eyebrows have gone so pale that they've almost disappeared though which is annoying.

Hope you start to feel less fed up soon, take care xx
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
