thank you for the replies. Today wasn't any better at work. It is really going to be tough next year. I am now so old (in teaching terms) and expensive that finding another job that pays the same will be almost impossible. I was lucky originally to get this one. I am aware I have deskilled myself in staying.
If anyone is reading this and wants some really annoying advice, don't take the easy way, don't try and avoid making a fuss or causing an issue. Always stand up for yourself even you think in the moment you don't mind or it doesn't matter. Eventually each little bit of oh I don't mind builds up until you find yourself painted into a corner you swore you would never even go near. Yet there you are, painting it, trying to make it look nice.Nevertheless she persisted.2 -
End of term.
Holidays are here. 1 month and 15 days off. How amazing is that?
I went to the pub for a lemonade, then came home, got fish and chips, ate them, went to sleep for 3 hours, woke up at ten! would like to go to bed. Mum woke me cos she couldn't lock the front door which is a big worry, I struggled too, it seems to have dropped? She worries a lot about it not being locked etc. I did it but I needed to slam it quite hard, hmmm.
The day was pretty decent for a last day, gifts and thank yous were given out, taught some lessons - poor kids, I am that teacher who teaches till the last minute! I got some lovely gifts and the people (and students) I work with are amazing. Truly I am lucky. I am sad the management changes mean it may not be like that for long. But as I said to my friends, it will be like starting a new job really. Which is kinda good really.
Money wise things are tricky. I have about 200 pounds till pay day, but a 300 pound CC bill, as well as the 1780 on the other CC and 1800 in the savings account. The temptation to pay off the Big CC is quite big. I just don't like having it there. I feel like I am on a slippery slope.
If I paid off the big CC and then on pay day paid off my CC, it would leave me fairly skint. and I will run up a bill again with summer spending and the Vets.
I think I will make a decision on pay day.

I have been searching and searching for a piece of metal grid to fit over the pond. Decided one piece would be a pain move each time I had to check the pump etc. Also had to make sure the holes were small enough for the dogs' feet not to go through.... that involved a measuring tape and a bemused dog.
Finally found one. Well a pack of two. There will be some overlay but it will be very safe for the dogs. Cost is now 70 quid. The other stuff would have let the dogs' foot through and it is best avoid them drowning etc. I know dogs can swim but the sides of the pond are flat and mum couldn't lift them out if they fell in, which with the current set up is a worry for Mum.
It is too hurt already, put washing on and run and emptied the dishwasher. Need to hang the washing out.
Other than that I have done nothing with my morning, which is lovely. I think I might have a bath....Nevertheless she persisted.2 -
I had my bath, listened to one of my favourite books, took some before photos of "me" and will take measurements too.
It is SO LOVELY to not check for e mails!Nevertheless she persisted.1 -

Happy holidays. I have three days left!
sorry work is so poo at the minute. It’s a dire career now at times.I’ve also heard some racist comments at work and the ignorance behind them is appalling. I wish we lived in a world of complete equality and tolerance xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x3
