I've heard of a few convertors being stolen recently, Really frustrating though as if you need that extra expense.

I ended a 'thing' on Tuesday. Those who have read my diary will know I have eluded to it but not said it as my ex reads it. Ironically it was because my ex is such a constant part of my life that I can't actually move on and it was becoming too much of a headache to try and plan and organise. Sorry, off on me. What I mean is it is really hard and I miss this guy and the conversations we had. I knew it was nothing long term but we spoke daily and I miss the texts, calls and interaction so it is really hard. I only know time makes it a bit more bearable so keep going Buffy. I am focussing on my weight goals, fitness, decluttering, motorbike riding and pretty much anything else that keeps me distracted for at least five minutes so I can stop thinking about why I let it go when I know I should have put boundaries in years ago.

    You'll get there Buffy.

Oh and I blamed all the digging on the rabbits. I put all the soil back in its holes today and dug it right only to find it is all dug out again today. Turns out the magpies have been digging it out too looking for worms. Honestly, I could scream.

That is exactly what I miss, the texts. weird not having someone sending me funny stuff or cute stuff. Oh well. Been pretty much two weeks so am getting the hang of it.

I have been really ill all day. Head is terrible, mum keeps the house super hot and I feel sick but have come downstairs to eat something. I went out in the garden earlier to discover the garden who said he had replaced extension lead he cut through had done so but it doesn't work - which may explain why the electric tripped a few weeks ago when I put the pump on..... One fish is dead :( and I have had to order a new extension lead and a pump as just my luck I dropped a piece of edging on the wire (which had all been messed up by the gardener) and cut it in half......

Extension lead was 13.99 and new pump was 52.99. Ordering was a risk as my head was pounding and I daren't look to double check.....

I am hoping to get out in the garden tomorrow as head will be better fingers crossed.

I need a long term plan. My general plan was house saving but that isn't looking good. The cheapest house here is 350,000 and I don't have 35000. I am really frightened. I am so stupid. I keep coming back to the idea that I am going to be renting for ever. And that isn't great.

On this first day of the month I have to rethink. Buffy isn't going to buy a house. Buffy has to think of something else. I am going to go for my walk.
    Nevertheless she persisted.

My DS has realised he probably won’t get on the property ladder for the foreseeable future. Is renting an option for you short term. I would think you have too many ties with your mum to move to a cheaper area for buying. How would your mum cope if you moved out? My DD still lives at home, she’s 34, no hopes of her moving out unless she meets a bloke, you need two incomes to realistically buy a house.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

That is about the size of it SA. Originally I thought Mum would get better but increasingly I feel she will need to go in to a home at some point quite soon which breaks my heart. She won't engage or push for more help from the doctor and they have ignored the letter I sent last week. She won't even take her tablets regularly and is deeply unhappy.  My sisters are too much in their own lives to help at all and I need to work to pay the bills so can't care for her full time. This will mean losing the house to care fees. I have !!!!!! my life up enough for my family and morally I feel I can't just !!!!!! off but am not losing my own security. I am clearly going to be alone so buying here is out of the question. I am sad as I love this house and the garden and thought that Mum would at some point make a better plan  that acknowledged the work I have paid for and the care and maintenance I have done to enable her to live here but she will not. Crikey she won't even upset the gardener over me!!

I walked for a bout 40 minutes and do feel less fraught. I think realistically I have to look at buying up north and eventually renting it out to have somewhere to go or some thing as a tiny nest egg that is mine. It also gives me a different more immediate goal. I could buy house up there this summer. In a year switch to a buy to let and rent it out. It would be complicated but it could be the start of something amazing. Buffy the Land lord :)

I have thought about doing it before but with the aim of living there however I never really wanted to .

I also appreciate that renting out can be !!!!!! but I have friends up there and will rent to people through them if that makes sense.

Hugs and puppy cuddles from here Buffster.  Sorry to hear about the car and even sorrier that all your hard work and care is not acknowledged.

Just to say, if you are looking at having to buy somewhere other than where you live and work, do have a think about making it somewhere you'd want to move to.  It is a huge relief to live somewhere that property prices aren't just insane and there are so many lovely places you could be.  I know it sounds scary, but from here on the other side, even after the extra dramas getting here, I really think it's going to be well worth it.

PM me if you want to talk about different areas up north and over the wall  :)

One of my best friends in the world lives near the part I am looking at. But I will PM you as I have a few friends up North so there are options XX

I have 3 months till I am off for a month. That means another 1500 in the house pot. IF I found the right place. OR I could leave it more towards the end of the year(perhaps spend the summer doing reconnaissance)  and have more savings. perhaps do the "shopping" in half term and buy after that..... November time.

ooo forgot to say I am going away in November :) And out to dinner next week. the two aren't connected. but they are my things to look forward to.

Tomorrow I am going to empty the shed and reorganise. Phase one of the garden sorting and of course sort the fish pond out.

Hope you get on the property ladder soon and it is really tough at the minute.

Going away will be something to look forward to and even going out for dinner as well will be great to just go out.

Things are so tough for you right now Buffy and I wish I could give you a hug. x

Hope the migraine has gone and that you feel rested. Good idea to think about buying and letting out elsewhere. Do you and your sisters ever get chance to speak together about your mum’s health and care?

Migraine is now what I call a shadow and I do feel better. My two sisters don't exactly speak to each other I don't know why,  I keep them informed separately.

I seem to watching Line of Duty..... hmmmm.
