Risked beans on toast.
Mum made me a cup of tea earlier - when I first came down looking like death. And she has just got up to let the dogs out. Steroids are amazing drugs. Just the change in less than a week. Incredible. utterly incredible.
Dog two is being very odd. They never really eat dinner mainly cos they get a lot of treats in the day (we give them a treat each time they go out in the garden, as neither were happy out there due to next door's aggressive insane dog) I have made an effort to change this habit - they only get a biscuit now, mum was spending almost 30 quid a week on dog treats!!!! Any how Dog two gets super clingy and restless sometimes and we can't figure out why. He almost never relaxes in the evening, always hyper alert. I am fairly stressed most of the time but have been for their whole lives(!) so I don't think it is that. It might be Mum's illness but he has done it off and on for a while, longer than lockdown. Dog one is fine.
Pondering Goals for March.........
1. French.
2. Activity - going to stick with 30 mins daily. Might try and mix it up tho as walking on the roads is boring and one of my knees is KILLING me. I am still only doing less that 10,000 steps so am on not over doing it as such? But it burns. (Ok so I googled and it may be overuse Hmmm)
3. Save 1000 pounds (600 for house, 400 for Christmas and insurance) I am very fortunate to be able to do this.
4. Spend two hours a day on the house. It is massively getting me down and I can't do what I want as Mum will be unhappy if I do. I think I can make some progress tho as long as I am ruthless with the rubbish and the weather stays decent.
5. Tuning out negativity.

Nicnak, I am big Dulingo fan and try and do it every day, I have a 206 day streak - tho I do use "streak freezes" as I can't always get on it on in the evenings, and doing it before bed often means after midnight. However I am ok so long as I do an average of 20 experience points or what ever they are called. My accent SUCKS tho it is hilarious....
Today I went into work, I felt useful, I did a fair bit of work, I was very pleased, I am lucky, my job is fairly simple. My kids are like everyone else's not doing much but the ones who show up are lovely. so hey. I will definitely take that.
The dog is back being weird again. Has stared at me for about an hour. I have cuddled him.......he has been out three times, eaten dinner. Finally he is sat next me asleep. This whole performance has taken 20 minutes. I think he just wants to be next to me.... maybe cos I haven't been here all day.
I have saved
200 - htb
200 -extra house
400 -extra extra house (this is the one I can borrow from if necessary)
200 - insurance
100 - Emergency.
I also have a cheque from the insurance people which will replenish the emergency fund.
I don't think it will stay as I will have vet bills. My vets were extremely kind to me today and didn't charge me, I had to take the little piggie in for emergency, she is in SO much pain. I nearly cried when they said no charge. They need a urine sample but she is the only guinea pig I have EVER owned who won't pee outside the cage, she goes back for a wee. So in a minute I am going back upstairs to try again..........armed with cucumber. Bunny goes tomorrow for an assessment. That will cost. If I told you guys how much the vet bills had been during lockdown I think you would actually kill me so I do sort of understand why they are kind to me, they are really just amazing tho.
I am not in bed before midnight but am in nightie and just need to let the dogs out. xxx

My little piggie died. It was a bit of a shock. I took her to the vets this afternoon and they kept her in, to give her fluids and pain relief. They scanned and examined her and found a lump. They were going to operate tomorrow but she died here at home, unfortunately she was still in her carrier - her friend was with her but I was just sorting out her cage. My beautiful girl. Not enough photos, not enough grass, not enough time.
