I've found my fitbit pretty accurate re sleep. I can tell if the breakdown of how that sleep was, is accurate too. The more rem & deep sleep I have the better I feel & I haven't caught it lying to me yet. The thing I have problems with are the number of flights of stairs I have done. I have quite low ceilings for downstairs & it doesn't always count the flights properly. On the other hand if the air pressure is high it sometimes counts extra but that is rare.

I don't think mine does stairs. I don't really know what it does. I have set up a silent alarm for seven and need to be in bed by 12. Seems fair enough. I don' think I wear it right.....
House bunny and piggie seem ok. Mum isn't great. I am hopeful for the doctor and magic pills.
Positives for the day.
I got my ten thousand steps.
The nice message from the lady on FB
Ordered my best friend some good Birthday day presents.

Sorry about small bunny and sending love. It's horrid when our pets are poorly. I don't have a fitbit so no idea. These days, unless I'm chasing DC1 to stop him from killing himself, I am permanently glued to the sofa. So if I had one, it would probably register me as dead!1

I need to do the syringing thing 3 times a day for bunny (abscess draining - yes it is as gross as it sounds), I have felt quite rough all day. Been a busy one. But need to carry on for a bit before a nap.Nevertheless she persisted.2

I gave in and went to bed for 2 hours and now feel a LOT better. The cleaning of the wound went well, considering and I got a refund on some pet insurance.
Today I have been reminded (not in any sort of mean way) of the precariousness of my situation. This week was meant to be about decluttering and going to the tip. Mum has been so unwell I haven't had a chance at all. Not at all. I successfully got rid of my large chest of drawers. But the contents are all over my desk! I haven't been able to build the replacement furniture. I feel like I did when my BIL became ill and I was available all the time to the detriment of my time, career, friends, everything really.
I spoke to my best friends, as honestly I don't get how this happened but one of them correctly pointed out I did what needed to be done and neither of my sisters did. So I sort things, collect things work out how to do stuff, find workmen we can afford, go to the airport, lend money (it is paid back don't worry), shop, clean, tidy, prep for visits I am largely unwelcome in, it just happens. It is genuinely funny. And I do understand that my sister in particular has an awful time of it, but obviously before that when she wasn't any help.
I am faced with going back to work in more of a messy house than I started the week. Hmmm.
A problem. Especially since I have work to do.

I remember what a friend said to me many years ago when I was trying to hold it all together through bringing up a child, a messy divorce, redundancy, starting up my own business & being somewhat ill. You can't do it all, give yourself a break. She, who appeared to be the perfect working housewife & mother, on one of THOSE days used to send her kids to bed @ 6 & shut the door & forget all about them. She was happily married & whilst he worked away a lot he did play an active part when he was there. But it opened my eyes. We see all these people seemingly doing it all without a misstep & think we ought to be doing the same. But in reality THEY aren't, so why do we expect ourselves to be so much better. You are dealing with a lot. Try to forget what you can't get done & remember what you have got done. Because reading through your days you have got a lot done.5

It is a strange thing isn't it......I have told my best friends, my other best friend, you guys and another group I am in. Everyone has said the same thing. That I am dealing with a lot and I shouldn't be surprised it is tough or that some days like today it just feels crap, I mean we are all dealing with a lot are but just because we are all in the same or similar situation doesn't actually mean we are dealing with less. Actually we are all dealing with a lot and when normal !!!!!! stuff happens it is really bad.
In short I am very grateful for my friends. both here and in RL. keeping me on the straight and narrow.
