I'm ex SLT. Spent my life at work and only saw my three year old in the morning or got a few hours in the evening. No extra pay made up for the time lost. I have it up and reverted back to a mainstream classroom teacher. I get more of my life back and get time to do my own things now.Honeysucklelou2 said:
I do get that...I keep wondering about it but then the higher you go, the less time you seem to have with the children and actual teaching!Buffythedebtslayer said:
I have thought about it but honestly, I am not sure I could cope with the BS. I already roll my eyes and cut through the crap at work so often it is ridiculous. I just hate it all! But yes I know what you mean about the ceiling. I think you have to change schools a lot. Or you know. lieHoneysucklelou2 said:Can you do the NPQML or NPQSL, if you haven’t already? There does seem to be a ceiling in the educational pay which I haven’t mastered breaking through yet, but the above qualifications seem to help the break through.
Gald the house bunny has come through the op. Hope he is feeling much better today.

The money definitely wasn't worth the responsibility and pressure. I'm the happiest I've been now xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x3 -
My old boss went back to being a normal teacher and he is also extremely happy (well not with covid but you get the idea)
I have woken up with a hideous vomit inducing headache. I think it is stress related and under normal circumstances I would go to bed but as I am looking after mum I can't really. And to be fair if I were working I would still work so hey.
Dishwasher is emptied, washing on.

Did you get your Hello Fresh via the MSE offer? Do you think they’re worth it? I’ve often been tempted by these boxes as I like the idea of having a menu chosen for you and no waste with ingredients.Hope the headache goes away soon xI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

I did get my nap in, vets rescheduled to tomorrow, headache eased off. I think the Hello Fresh thing is excellent, I got it through a friend, I made BBQ chicken and black bean sauce with wedges, as someone who NEVER cooks (am a dab hand at heating up Frozen food tho! and boiling things) it turned out so nice! I think I might do it once a month, for a change and to improve my cooking skills.Sun_Addict said:Did you get your Hello Fresh via the MSE offer? Do you think they’re worth it? The relief of not having a skull crushing migraine is simply lovely however !!!!!! things are.
It was the start of Lent today (well yesterday) and I am debating with myself what to do. What to give up or achieve. I think I will give up negative thinking or train myself away from it. I tend to spiral down into how crap things are and that stops me dead in my tracks doing anything now. It ends on the 3rd of April.
Hmmm.
Also, 100 days from today is 29th May. We might be ok by then. I can do a 100 days. And the sun will shine on us again

Morning all,
Good things
1. Blood test trip with Mum was fairly uneventful.
2. Phone consult with the Rheumatoid Doctor was really good. We have a plan. There are options. And she might be able to have a nurse come and collect blood maybe.
3. I had Nutella on toast and it was lush.
4. Mum is feeling better after the consult. She didn't mind me talking and explaining stuff.
5. The outdoor buns are just ADORABLE. The boy gets so excited cos FOOD he practically falls over.
6. Am doing a click and collect from Wickes to fix a better GP cage (google C and C if you are interested)
Not so good.
1. Small Bunny is having issues in the bottom area. However small bunny also escaped his pen and ate a whole pot of mint over night. so er yeah. We are going to the vets at 1.30.
2. Small guinea pig seems to be squeaking for no reason - which means there is pain I think.
I will make an appointment.
3. With that in mind I do feel that I am neglecting the piggies. May have to re think the set up.
4. Headache is making an appearance. grrr.
Best go Mum is fussing about something.

Ok. So small bunny is probably not getting better. He is definitely not suffering but will do
eventually. Could be months or weeks. Am so tired , upset and disappointed by the news. Plus small piggie is now on antibiotics and pain relief.
However I did get the stuff I need for their cage and they have all been cleaned out. I only have to do a 20 minute walk tonight.
SO tired. Fitbit says I had 4 hours sleep? Do you guys think it is accurate?

Sorry to hear about small bunny.Re the FitBit and sleep tracking, I don’t wear mine at night but it always tells me I had 1 hour 25 mins sleep, so I’d like to know at what point during the day was I asleep 🤔 I only wear it in bed if I need to use it as a silent alarm, I don’t want to get hung up on how many hours sleep I’ve had.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2
