My knowledge is small but I will gladly share my experience if it helps
one thing I did learn from the DMP support thread part 13  (on diaries) Is to, on Stepchange budget at least, develop a serious smoking habit and become a pet owner (although I have pets anyway) to help give wiggle room in the budget.
Ha! yes I have read a few stories of that. I certainly wont be leaving myself scrapping the barrel every month that is for sure! YNAB is going to help me with that. I get why some people want to get rid of the debt ASAP, but my attitude is that I want to be living my life happily.
Yes it is my debt but it does not own me! I am not going to put my life on hold for that debt. It will get paid back regardless.

Well done on booking a nice break away for you all, nothing beats sunshine and beach time!. I like the fact that you are trying to sort your debt but also like the idea of the debt not owning you. I think it is about finding that balance and you seem to have a great idea as to how you want things to go.

    Thanks FFD,
Yes my SOA is all set up sitting on my hard drive waiting to be sent to SC once I am at the stage where my accounts have defaulted and I am ready to start my DMP. I can see it taking a good few more months to get it all sorted but hey-ho.

I would say 'Hope you've had a good weekend' but looking at the top of the championship table answers that question for me ;)
We gave Everton a tuning earlier too

haha...a very good weekend. I will not get excited to early, we are certainly more than capable of 'doing a Leeds' hehe but its looking pretty good. I must say i think Frank is doing well with the young group he has, there is clearly some talent there for sure. I hope we can be in the same league next year

That's exciting  about the holiday, sounds like bliss, well apart from the tent bit.
YNAB has really opened my eyes when it comes to planning ahead, think need to do some more research into it though as want to try develop my moneys 'age'

was an excellent result against Everton, when the lads play well they are brilliant, sadly one of down sides to a young side is an off day can really go against you. We're down in league 1 and the scrappiness of it drives me crazy.

Hi Frank, I am so impressed with how well you are doing. You seem so focused and committed. Holiday sounds fab, I love camping and those beaches sound lush. I am going away myself for a couple of nights next months to Pwllheli so excited, hopefully the weather will pick up and we will be able to get out for some nice walks. Might even brave snowdon eek!
Sorry to hear your poor OH has had mumps bet that was awful! You sound like youre doing fab with your exercise too!

  • So I have aged my money on YNAB to 8 days so far :) it is getting pretty obsessive! My aim is to get to 30 days and finally break the paycheck to paycheck cycle. I love how much more control I have of my money though, knowing exactly where every single penny has gone!

  • Hello SuperF..

Just checking in and catching up on your diary. Seems like you’re still going full steam ahead! That’s fantastic, well done on looking at every penny you spend and there’s nothing wrong in being obsessive about it!
