Hope everything is going fine denise, I've been thinking about you.
Anyone planning a special Valentine's meal tomorrow? In the past DH and I have had the M&S meal deal but looking at this year's everything seems a bit syn heavy or not worth it or not something we'd both like. I might just fall back on steak and chips and make DH eat some of the ice cream he asked me to get in for Christmas!
Today's EE plan:
B- NAS grapefruit, skinny syrup, half banana (F), HEB porage with HEA1 milk
L- LO liver (P), minimal potato (F) fried veg and beetroot (S)
D- SW Bolognese (P,S) with tagliatelle (F) and HEA2 Parmesan

Hi everyone. Op all over and went ok. Currently waiting for Dr to see if I can be discharged. Hopefully I can get home and get back to proper food!
Last night's dinner was sloppy shepherds pie made with probably 20%mince, was really greasy. Followed by ground rice pudding which was just a bowl of mush. Really not nice but had to eat it as was starving.
Back soon properly.

Hopefully you can get home very soon Denise.
So pleased it's over for you.
I've only been in hospital twice in my life. The first time was having my DD and although it was a very long time ago I still remember the disgusting food. Having tried to eat healthily through my pregnancy I couldn't believe what they served up: corned beef that was so fatty that it stuck to the plate and watery tomatoes that had no taste at all. The second time was a few years back when a minor procedure as a day patient on a Saturday got so delayed that they had to keep me overnight as no doctor was available to discharge me.For my evening meal, I sent DH down to the M&S place to buy me a sandwich and crisps. For my breakfast I felt like Paddington Bear eating a marmalade sandwich!
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, baked beans (F), HEB toast, HEA milk, fried egg (P)
L- lentil and veg soup (P,S)
D- steak (P), SW chips (F), broccoli, tomatoes, mushrooms (S)
Syns: Probably lots as we'll be having fizz and maybe even spoiling DH with a pudding

I'm finally home. Got discharged finally at about 1.30pm and took about an hour to get home. Just enjoying another cup of tea!
Breakfast wasn't too bad but could have been better I had weetabix and milk, followed by WM toast & marmalade (so lots of syns there as well as HEB and HEA!)
Lunch was fish, chips & peas - only ate the fish (I don't eat batter and even DH wouldn't have eaten the batter for me it was stodgy & disgusting), now idea how but they'd managed to burn the peas! I did eat the chips but there were only about a dozen so shouldn't be too many Syns I would of thought.
Dinner will at least be on plan - beef casserole from the freezer, mash & green veg of some sort, probably Brussels because I think that's all I've got left apart from peas and don't really want peas twice in one day.
Will write off yesterday and today and start afresh tomorrow. I had a quick peek at the scales yesterday morning and it looked as though I'd got away with a 0.5lb loss so hopefully I can get a maintain by next Thursday!
Tomorrow onwards I will be back on plan properly!
Denise
