Good luck SOS with sleeping today with this terrible wind!  It's really whistling down our chimney at the moment!

I've been awake for a couple of hours now but only got up about 20 minutes ago.

We're visiting a friend today and not looking forward to the journey in this wind.

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up - bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans - P; S; F
    L - not sure as at friend's
    D - SC gammon, potatoes, carrots & onions - P; F; S

    HEA - milk
    HEB - maybe at lunch?
Syns - none planned at the moment but will see later or might need some at lunchtime

Thanks denise, did notice the Thanks number, but when flicking back and forth thru pages, it used to be obvious if you had pressed Thanks on a post at a glance. It now isn’t AFAIK, it is trial and error; either the number goes up, or down if you had pressed it already .

On the positive side; dug deep into the wardrobe yesterday and found some more jeans gathering dust in various sizes. The black sz12 is still too snug, not going past the hips   But the blue sz12 fits, it is a little tight, but wore them all day yesterday  . Crazy really, they are both M&S Per Una, one pair fits, the other pair not yet. We will get there :smile::smile: .

I joined my local group 2 weeks ago.
i have an under active thyroid, so I have to try really hard.  I want to stay off bread completely & as much as possible potatoes, pasta, rice & noddles.

    Welcome kim.  :)
It's quiet on here today but that could be because this hideous new format is scaring people off!

You're only allowed 1 large slice of bread in the plan otherwise you'll have to syn it at about 6 syns a slice. The other carbs are syn free (cooked in the right way). Bubbs limits her carbs because of diabetes so they're not essential. Just be careful that you don't get hungry.
Good luck, how much do you need to lose?

I know the rules on HEbs, I mean even though I could slot them in, I’m choosing not too.
With an under active thyroid less white carbs with do me good.  I’ll get all the carbs in need from vegetables & fruit.

I just meant that you're unlikely to over eat bread (unless you syn it) when only 1 slice of wholemeal is in the plan. Of course you do need to allow for various medical conditions and fit the plan to your own circumstances.

I think we all hate the new format.

Welcome Kim.  I too have an underachieve thyroid but have never felt the need to limit carbs and managed to get to target in 2012 and stayed there most of the time - with the odd time going out of range, usually holidays and Bank Holidays!  SW also don't recommend not having carbs especially during the first 4 weeks of the plan.  You're basically doing EESP.
