Sawdust on the floor is probably the height of sophistication denise!
I find it tasteless, might as well be adding water to my gin. Now that's a thought!

I find it quite flowery Maman.  Suppose that shows our tastebuds are all different.  There's obviously people who do like Fever Tree after all.  Otherwise there wouldn't be so many pubs selling it!

  • Found you guys! Wow, this will take some getting used too *rolls eyes*. I wonder how many more posters we have lost in the process of moving, hopefully they will find the thread again, like we have done o:). I am on track, eating lots of speed and keeping track of everything. Off to tidy up my sig, it has emojis in it which no longer work  :|.

  • Hello all.
I'm on a night shift and have managed to keep to plan so far. I'm listening to slimming world podcast in my phone with headphones during my break and am trawling the internet for slimming world ideas. Have just found a website I'm not sure if you are aware of. Called slimmingworldsurvival.com , it has a shopping list for most supermarkets with free food and low syn foods. My favourite bit under 'miscellaneous  is the 'syn free canned foods'. ( this lists canned foods from all the supermarkets syn free, includes curries, chillies and steak in gravy).
Had sw bolognese on baked butternut squash for tea tonight with  a grated babybel on top. 😋
Had an unexpected toby carvery yesterday. Managed to check syns online on the way. Used 4.5 syns on mash, cauliflower cheese and gravey. Forfeited roast potatoes ( 2 syns each) and yorkshire pudding (8 syns). Loads of speed, green beans, red cabbage, carrots. Had gammon and beef. Great to have such a good meal and still be in control.

Hello all! Well done on your loss MM!

Reporting a half pound loss please Chieveley (if you see this!)

It's a kick up the bum because although I've been an angel all week I did have too much wine and chocolate at the weekend, so clearly I can't "get away with it" even if it's almost a week to my next WI.

I'm away next weekend as well so will WI a day early on the Friday. Would love lose 2lbs for my 1.5 stone award but TOTM almost due again so who knows.

Got to rush, off to Parkrun (marshalling not running, alas - I wish my foot would hurry up and get better so I could at least walk more), will pop back later with a menu.

I want to get all my jobs done today because the forecast for tomorrow is atrocious and I want to be holed up with my book

Ooh I've just accidentally discovered how to get some more smiley options! A bit like you Maman, I put a colon followed by a D to get a grinning face :D but when I typed the D it came up with several options - Disappointed, Dizzy, etc. If you do a colon followed by any letter you get about five different options. :bawling::love::angry:

Actually - these might just be the Apple emojis because I'm on a Mac - can anyone else see them?

We don't seem to have a multi-quote button anymore!  Does that mean we have to do loads of different posts?  I hope not - that would definitely be a backward step.

Looks horrible outside today but need to go out - I forgot to buy shallots and I didn't buy enough mushrooms so off to the farm shop later.  Needed to go out anyway as have a letter to post but need to go to PO as I've run out of stamps, pity it's the opposite direction to the farm shop!

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up - bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans - P; S; F
L - soup - not sure yet what to make; I've got 2 pea on my menu plan but have carrots so might do a spicy carrot & lentil one instead.  See which one DH fancies
D - coq au vin, mash - chicken, onions, shallots, mushrooms, carrots, stock, red wine - P; S;F; 2.5 Syns (small glass of the real stuff (between 2) + red wine stock pot)

    HEA - milk
HEB - none planned but maybe Alpen or Hifi
Syns - wine 2.5; G&T or rum & ginger beer not sure which yet

    Have a good day everyone.

    Denise
