Me too Maman. I don't want LOs of things I can't eat, LOL!
I've decided that I'm going to do a load of batch cooking when I come back from my holiday (beginning of April) so refill the freezer. I'm running it down this month before we go away. I'm going to be using quite a lot of the things I've got in there. Hoping I can empty it and turn it off (it's outside) before we go away. If there's anything in there I'm hoping I can get it into my indoor fridge/freezer or might take some stuff with us - but can only take a few flat packed HM ready meals.
Sorry to hear your team has lost today. Better luck on Wednesday!
Looks like you'd better stick to G&T at the pub on Wednesday so you can more than you can with wine for far less syns!

At least it's a football pub that wouldn't be as pretentious as to sell Fever-Tree.0 -

No not dog sitting, we are having picky tea as normalbut normal food will be from tomorrow, i will be making scotch eggs too

Pleased to report a 2lb loss this week! :j I don't know where this mojo has come from but long may it continue. 2.5lbs off my 1.5 stone award now and currently the lightest I've been since the end of 2017I'm feeling a lot better but still not really seeing any changes in the mirror. Ah well, it'll come.

D - Scromlette: Asda light Cumberland sausages (3), eggs, onion and mushrooms
T - Mongolian beef (2.5) with airfryer chips and salad
HEA - Milk
HEB - None
Syns - 5.5 as above, sugar in coffee (4), either wine (10) or hot chocolate (2) ....

Evening,
Have been off down near Heathrow and back home again today on a jaunt with OH. Took plenty of snacks/food with me, and bought salad for lunch.
Maman, whilst Aldi is cheaper, MrT saver pass means it is cheaper to get to/from the s/mkt for us (40 of mile round trip) and it stops me putting stuff in the trolley I don't really need. Economising and keeping it healthy is the aim of the game. Once I'm back in the swing of things I will have the odd Aldi trip again. I was spending an average of £90 in Aldi tho, so my 2 weekly shop of around that, with top ups of around £15 in the week is making it better for managing £.
Food plan today:
B - FF fromage frais with oats & chopped up clementine. Was OK, but didn't eat it all. Probably better soaked overnight, not just a couple of hours.
L - chicken drumsticks with mixed salad (leaves/onion/pepper/cucumber/tomato) & dressing (2) from M&S. Put it together myself in the car.; SF jelly with LF cream (2)
D - HM burgers, SW chips & mixed salad. HEA2 cheese. Ketchup (2)
That's more like it, eh?One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

I didn't realise you were so far from shops, assumed you were able to go anywhere easily from work.. I know I'm always going on about how eating out makes SW more difficult but it's easy to forget all the other things that can get in the way. Because I live in a big city with SW groups and every supermarket on the doorstep, I forget that it's not like that for everyone.

Well done Tweets on being our SOTW. Amazing loss this week.
I'm another a long way from shops. Nearest SM are Mr Ts and Aldi about 9 miles away and then opposite direction Asda & Lidl, 15 miles away and Sains bout another 1/2 mile or so away from Lidl.

Well done Tweets! And thanks Chieveley
I have a Tesco, Aldi and Asda all in my small town but I invariably get everything in Tesco as it's a bit bigger and the only one guaranteed to have everything I need, as well as parking being difficult at the other two.
Had the Mongolian beef last night, it was tasty but felt a bit un-speedy and synny so not one I'll make often I don't think.
I have some of the thin steak left over so I might try to make a beef and mushroom stroganoff type thing, but I have no cream or yogurt in so wondering if a bit of milk and cornflour would have the same effect?
Today:
B - Banana
D - Austrian hash
T - Beef and mushroom stroganoff, rice
HEA - Milk
HEB - none
Syns - Sugar (4), cornflour (1), hot chocolate (2) = 7Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Tete I'm not sure it would work using a white sauce rather than a creamy sauce - it certainly wouldn't be a stroganoff without a creamy sauce! When you say you've got no cream or yoghurt I suppose that also means you haven't got any half fat creme fraische or fromage frais as both of those would work
How about using the beef and mushroom with the rice and making it into a risotto? You could get extra Speed veg into that as well quite easily.
Finally caught up with most of the washing now, certainly not enough of anything to do a load but will need to do another load tomorrow (whites), Tuesday (bedding) and Wednesday (darks)! Then I'll me more or less caught up again.
Today's plan:
B - Fry up - sausages (2), egg P, beans F, tomatoes & mushrooms S
L - BLT - bacon P; lettuce, tomato S; bread HEB
D - roast lamb leg dinner - lamb P; roasted carrots, onions & peppers S; potatoes F; cabbage, green beans S, peas F
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - sausages 2; not sure what else
Have a good day everyone.
