Off to the hairdressers then meeting my mother for lunch  Hoping I can get a jacket potato. May need your help to work out the syns when I return depending on the filling.
I don't eat it myself but FF quark seems to be free, though not a HEA.
For jacket potato fillings, good free choices would be cottage cheese or beans, or even normal cheese now that we have a larger HEA allowance. Make sure you ask for no butter
EDIT for clarity - FF cottage cheese is completely free, normal cottage cheese is 1 syn per 100g, normal cheddar-type cheese counts as 1 HEA (30g of normal or 40g of reduced fat).
Sounds like you have a difficult weekend ahead SW-wise. This is where being forever single is a boonI always get to choose my food. Maybe just try to fill up on free food when you can, and if it's a choice between, say, a hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows or an Americano with semi skimmed milk, go for the Americano.

Sorry to hear you're having problems sticking to plan but I'm sure it helps having people at work who are also doing SW. Can't remember if you go to group but if you do it might be worth asking for an SAS log to help you see what might be causing the problem. Certainly worked for me when I had one.

I don't go to group, so have gone it alone the past year or so, but this thread has helped enormously for inspiration and accountability.
I know when the trigger began (taking time off work last autumn, trips out with meals etc). I think I was more physically active then as the weather was fine, and had managed to maintain up until Christmas. I then allowed myself to eat pretty much what I wanted over Christmas, thinking it would only be a small blip. The problem is I have now found it harder to get fully back on the wagon.
I am trying several tactics, like the home delivery shopping, which means I take a week or so to put together the basket for delivery, and even last night I logged back in and put in healthier options, taking out less healthy. My downfall, as ever, is bread. Once it's back in my life, it is the devil incarnate. You know how some people simply cannot limit themselves to just one alcoholic drink? Well my name is Sary and I am addicted to bread! :rotfl: So abstinence is the order of the day until I am back down to my last low weight in Sept.'19.
Has anyone tried the Linda McCartney shredded duck style strips? I've hopefully got them coming in my delivery tonight, so that will be a healthier treat meal to have. I think they are 3 syns per 100g. I was thinking i could incorporate those into wraps as a HEB as a fakeaway. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

I got some dried chickpeas from Waitrose denise, they are now soaking, hoping to make falafels tomorrow. But also visiting MIL with OH who is back, so not sure if I will be cooking before or after
.
The recipe for cookies I tried yesterday needs more practise. Is meant to be synfree and using your HEb, and I thought I was being clever doing them in the airfryer but didn’t quite work. Will try again.
Sinkorswim watch out with your mixers when drinking. We talked about them in group this week, how all FeverTree tonics have syns, whilst the Schweppes Slimline tonic is free. Can make quite a difference over several drinks .
Sary I sympathise about the bread. I found it better to just not buy it anymore so we cannot be tempted. I can eat just a few of the Corn Thins and stop, but could not stop if I had a lovely loaf of crustry bread in the house. It is one of many changes we have made, and it was worth it!
Just had more Dynorod (veg & beans) soup for lunch, so lots of speed. Planning Sticky Chicken for dinner with lots of stir fried veg. May need to nip out for beansprouts.
Hope everyone has a good weekend and doesn’t stray too far off plan, don’t undo all that good work.

What's Christmas curry tete? I'm expecting it to be turkey but had a strange vision of bits of Christmas pudding and mince pie!:Dsarymclary wrote: »I then allowed myself to eat pretty much what I wanted over Christmas, thinking it would only be a small blip. I had lots of treats over Christmas too then I set January 6th as my day for getting properly back on plan. It took until last week (23rd Jan) to get back to my pre Christmas weight. It's a new month tomorrow and you've got your online shop coming. This can be your fresh start!:T
ETA: Isn't it more expensive to do an online shop rather than Aldi?:think:sarymclary wrote: »My downfall, as ever, is bread.sarymclary wrote: »Has anyone tried the Linda McCartney shredded duck style strips? I was thinking i could incorporate those into wraps as a HEB as a fakeaway.
Are you better with wraps than with bread? What about crackers? Plenty of ways of having HEBs without having any bread in the house.
I used to be much the same with cheese when I first started SW. Now I only keep Parmesan in the house. I'll have an occasional cheeseboard when I'm eating out and enjoy it. You could try that with bread.
I'm not 100% sure of today's menu as I need to go shopping. I always plan from Saturday to Thursday and then try to eat up anything fresh on Friday or at least incorporate it into the weekend's plan. This is what I'll have before buying any more Speed.
EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, baked beans (F), HEB toast, HEA milk, bacon, egg (P)
L: lentil and veg soup (S,P)HM burger (P), SW chips (F) fried onions and other Speed tbc (S)
Syns: Definitely wine tonight.:(0 -

I was going to suggest an Asian supermarket if you have any near you. Might be worth checking prices if you decide to make them again. :money:poundsinbucks wrote: »Sinkorswim watch out with your mixers when drinking. I'm always cross when I get served Fever Tree. I'm having to add unnecessary syns just so the bar can be pretentious.:( Their 'naturally light' stuff isn't as bad as full fat but I'd rather not have it although there's rarely a choice.0 -

Ah well, I’ve planned a whole week of SW food and shopped for it.
Today’s food
hea bob milk
He a cheese
He b whole meal roll
B banana
L cheese sandwich with cherry Toms
B 2cc’s Mongolian beef (2.5 syns) boiled rice, steamed broccoli - been waiting all week for this Mmmmmmmm :rotfl:
Will probably have some wine tonight as two of the uni kids are back for the weekend.0 -

I absolutely hate Fevertree, even the light one. If I'm having G&T while I'm out I always check they've got Schweppes or Britvic diet tonic first. If they've only got Fevertree then I'll have a small glass of wine and make it last all evening so they end up losing money as I'd easily have 2 or 3 G&Ts in that time!
I sometimes wish I like Diet Coke and then I'd have rum & Diet Coke if they didn't have diet tonic.
I really wish we had an Asian supermarket near me as I use loads of dried beans & lentils, plus spices (I bought quite a few back from Goa with me last month!) but unfortunately my nearest decent one is nearly 50 miles away, so 100 mile round trip so I need to make it worthwhile so have to do it when I'm visiting either my sister or DD2 so live less than 5 miles from it!
I suspected your curry was turkey Tete but it was a really LOL when I read Maman's comment about Christmas pudding & mince pies!
Hope your Mongolian Beef is nice MM. I tried the PON one and wasn't very impressed.

I shall garnish my curry with a sprig of holly
Ooh MM let us know about the Mongolian beef - I've seen it all over social media, seems to be a favourite!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I meant to say maman, I loved your comment 'or you could cheat':rotfl:0
joedenise.... mmm, run.amd diet coke, now that's a possibility for me if the don't have slimline or only have fever tree. I think I'm going to tale some gin and tonic to my boyfriends tonight and avoid the red wine then as well.
Got through lunch out. Had jacket potato with smoked salmon and soft cheese, no butter and salad. Will put the soft cheese down as HEA and put down 5 syns for any unknowns.
Will eat before I go over tonight and take the gin so I should get through today on plan. Just Saturday and Sunday to content with.
Thanks to you all, this is great support.0
