  • Thanks for the welcome y'all.

    Today's EE (day 2 :))
    B: Boiled eggs x 3 An orange.
L: 4 x ryvita dark rye HEA. Cucumber. Philidelphia HEA? Smoked salmon. A carrot and a small pear while getting it ready.
Dinner sw Lasagne (again), cheese on it HEA.
Fat free yogurt with frozen fruit. Another orange.

Managed only to eat when hungry rather than out of habit. Should I have synced the philidelphia (aldi's version)?

Primula is listed as a HEA but soft cheese isn't. :( Aldi's is 3 syns for 25g or 2 for the low fat version. Or you could cheat. ;)

    Afternoon all :D
    Well done Denise:T:T
Is Maman away? didn't see her post yesterday either?
Today for breakfast i made overnight weetabix, it was lovely:D:D sometimes i find over night pats claggy but this was a game changer........try it:p:p was REALLY filling too:j:j

I used to find overnight oats claggy. Found out the reason was because I wasn't putting enough yoghurt in it. It's fine now I've upped the amount I use.
Well done denise, a nice surprise when you weren’t expecting it. And welcome to any new joiners, the more the merrier :D.
Went to Sainsb for some shopping including dried chickpeas, they don’t stock them! Oh well, no falafel making here today then ;), will have to try Waitrose and/or Tesco next time.

Just had my lunch; the aptly named Dynorod soup from the old recipe thread. I actually really like, it is filling, free and full of speed. It makes a rather large quantity and keeps me going for a few lunches. And the night I made it, I blitzed some of it, enough for DS and GF, as I knew they would eat it if it was smooth (but not with chunks of veg in *rolls eyes*, he is 22!) And with OH coming home tomorrow, it will soon disappear. Added some chopped chicken slices today, very tasty.

Am off trying another recipe, this time cookies using a Muller Light and a HEb.

    Poundsinbucks x

I'm really surprised that Sains don't do dried chickpeas. I got my last lot in Mr Ts. Think I saw them in Asda too.

Have to admit I usually bring them back from France because they're cheaper!

    Thanks for the welcome y'all.

Just a couple of things about your plan. Ryvita are HEB not A (HEBs are for fibre, HEA are for Calcium). Philadelphia is not HEA unfortunately, so yes needs to be synned. I've listed a few of them below.

Philadelphia Philadelphia Soft Cheese Lightest (25g). 1

Philadelphia Philadelphia Soft Cheese Salmon (25g) 2

Philadelphia Philadelphia Soft Cheese Light (25g). 2

Philadelphia Philadelphia Soft Cheese Original (25g). 3

Philadelphia Soft Cheese Chives (25g) 2

Philadelphia Philadelphia Soft Cheese Light (16.7g portion). 1.5

Philadelphia Philadelphia Soft Cheese Original (35g mini tub). 4

Evening, another few busy days and only just caught up on posts. I’ve also been struggling to stay on plan. Not sure why, but think it’s more a self sabotage thing. Have had a good chat with work colleague doing sw and felt like it helped saying it out loud, rather than carrying it like a dirty secret iykwim.

Anyway today was on plan & went to clubbercise :A
    B - banana & ff hazelnut quark (1)
    Snack - alpennlight (3.5)
    L - porridge HEB sugar (1.5), apples (1.5) water
D - omelette, peppers & onions, cheese HEA1, tomato, cucumber, ketchup (1.5); SF jelly & light cream (1.5)
    HEA2 milk in tea/coffee

Have MrT delivery coming tomorrow with lots to help stay on plan. Trying to avoid going into supermarket to avoid being tempted. Also helps keep me on budget.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home
  • Morning all, I will pop back on later to put my Food diary for the day up.

I have been naughty... Had a sneaky peek at the scales, and have lost nothing at all!

    Feeling a bit unmotivated now!

    Denise,

I know! But are you using a big tub (500g) or one of the little ones? I use about half one of the big tubs and then add some skinny syrup and sometimes sweetener as well and then mix it really well before bunging loads of frozen fruit on top. I use a fairly big screw top jar to make mine in, think it's probably a 500g one, so there's plenty there. Often have extra fruit on the side with some quark as well!

    Today's plan:

B - stuffed portobello mushroom - stuffed with cottage cheese, mushroom stalks, bacon, tomato & spring onion, topped with HEA of finely grated cheese - was lovely. I usually use couscous, topped with cottage cheese and then a sprinkle of grated cheese (ie not a full HEA!)
L - LO gammon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans & chips
D - smoked haddock with lemon & dill Puy lentils - another new recipe so hope it's nice! Not been having much luck with new recipes lately, have I?

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
HEB - not planned but might eat my overnight oats that I forgot yesterday:rotfl:
Syns - couple of rum & ginger beer 5 (which is what I actually had last night rather than G&T). Might also treat myself to a Purple One (still left from Christmas - how's that happened especially with DH eating them as well!)

Have a good day everyone, even if the weather isn't very nice.

Sorry to hear you're having problems sticking to plan but I'm sure it helps having people at work who are also doing SW. Can't remember if you go to group but if you do it might be worth asking for an SAS log to help you see what might be causing the problem. Certainly worked for me when I had one.

I think that's why SW say don't weigh in between weekly WIs. Although I have to admit I usually weigh myself on a Monday to see how much damage limitation I need to do in order to stay within my target range:rotfl:) but not a good idea when you're still needing to lose weight to get to target.

Try not to feel demotivated. Draw a line under it and just stick to plan the weight will still come off if you follow the plan.

I'm a bit naughty and weigh throughout the week :o I find it keeps me motivated in that if I'm losing I don't want to spoil it, and if I'm not it makes me try harder.

    Plan for today:
    B - Alpen Lights x2
    D - 2CC chicken and chorizo jambalaya (3)
T - Christmas curry (2), rice, extra mushrooms
    HEA - Milk
    HEB - Alpen Lights
    Syns - 5 as above, sugar in coffee (4), hot chocolate (2) = 11

    WI tomorrow :)

    Day 3.
Started the day with a short run, last went on Monday.
Keeping my breakfast 'free' this morning - had quark and frozen berries, oh and a small pear.

Is quark a HEA of free?
Off to the hairdressers then meeting my mother for lunch  Hoping I can get a jacket potato. May need your help to work out the syns when I return depending on the filling.

Over to the boyfriends for the weekend, so am a bit worried about how I will keep to plan as what we eat is less in my control. There will also be some alcohol involved. Am usually a red wine drinker and I know the will be a glass or two of that tonight. Night out the following night so will stick to G&T's and soda water alternate drinks (my liver will thank me too).
Oh, and the Sunday night we are eating at my Dads, I have told him I'm trying to 'be good' but I don't know what is planned... hence today's run.
Going to take fruit with me over the weekend so I can eat that to avoid to.much off plan food.

Just been watching some youtube slimming workd blogs. Some are awful.but others provide some inspiration.
