    Afternoon all,

I'm joining the gainer gang with a +2lb. That's bread for you when it's not just a 60g HEB allowance :( hey ho, I know what I did, and I knew at the time, but thought I might get away with it if I was on plan the rest of the time. Showed me didn't it!? :rotfl:

Went to clubbercise last night despite having the dodgy knee. It was a bit uncomfortable, so I kept it lower impact, but judging by how achy my bum and backs of my thighs are today, I did enough. Can equate to about 600cals burned per hour according to the trainer's fitbit.

    Plan today:
B - porridge HEB, splash of milk from HEA & water, sugar (1), apples (1)
    snack - KP pufts (3.5)
Lunch - HM speedy winter veg soup, which I wasn't looking forward to, as it's a bit samey this week, but was actually enjoyable. Jelly with mango & light cream (1.5)
snack - Muller light hazelnut Amore (1.5)
Dinner - HM spag bol (full of speed) with parmesan from HEA2
Treat - costa american with cream (3)
    Total syns: 11.5

I may have a banana later if I still feel hungry, but more likely to save that for tomorrow now instead, as I'm feeling rather full, and the Costa americano will be filling too.

Glad your appointment was over nice and quickly Denise.

If I remember to get some peppers I am going to try making some of the linda McC tartlets this w/end.

Quick question: do the beetroot wraps taste of beetroot? It may seem like an odd question but I'm not keen on it.

Sary Sorry you've joined the gainers club this week but at least you know the reason why and can rectify it this week.

What are the Linda McC tartlets? Not seen a recipe for them. Care to share?

No they don’t sary, but the beetroot gives them the fibre I guess and a lovely colour :D. Only got them as they were half price the other day in Tesco.

BTW also stocked up on trays of 24 cans of Pepsi Max/Cherry for £5.50 each at Tesco, is a good price!

And a friend told me about a local farm not far from me which sells eggs!! I went in for a dozen, came away with 15 eggs for £1.50, these were thin shelled ones from older hens, some with double yolks. Very happy, will be going there again .

Denise I remember Bejam! MIL was always shopping there :D, shows my age :o.

I made a quiche, fish pie and some kebab loaves. So plenty of food in the fridge for me :). OH off to USA tomorrow, which is when I sometimes go off the rails :p. Not this time! Determined to get a loss on Tuesday, on my way to get my 6st award back :D. Have a good weekend everyone :).

  • A disappointing STS for me this morning. Had a couple of off plan days so only myself to blame.
Back at it again with renewed vigour as I really need to stop paying ASAP.:rotfl:

  • Was just thinking, wonder if there was something in the water this week, everyone in my group except 2 had a gain this week, and the losers were newbies on their first week?

    What are kebab loaves PIB?

When you make your fake KFC bubbs, do you flatten the chicken thighs?

I vaguely remember Bejam too. Always seemed odd that they actually sold the freezers alongside the food. We've got a new Iceland Food Warehouse just opened near us but I haven't been there yet. It's a sort of outlet store, huge and sells large packs of things. DGD shopped in one in London when she was at university and tells me they're very good value. Someone in group last week was saying they like their frozen chicken thighs. Anyone tried them?

No freezer surprises here.;) I've trained myself to label things and I keep an inventory. I use masking tape for the plastic boxes and with the bags for things like chicken breasts and thighs I cut a bit off the packet label.:)

Meal plan and food shop all done.:)

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, skinny syrup (F), HEB porage, HEA milk
L: JP (F), cottage cheese, ham (P), spring onion and beetroot (S)
D: gammon (P), SW chips (F), roast Mediterranean veg (S)
    Syns: probably wine syns:D
