Couldn't sleep last night. Woke up at 2.30am and couldn't get back to sleep so ended up getting up just after 4.30! Really annoying really as I'm not going to group this morning could have had a lay in!
Definitely need to stick to plan properly this week as I seem to have been going off track over the last couple of weeks so starting as I mean to carry on!
Today's plan:
B - porridge, skinny syrup, cinnamon (have run out of fruit and forgot to get frozen out of the freezer last night so will have some fruit when I get back from shopping!) HEB; F
L - crustless tuna & sweetcorn quiche, salad - P; F; S
D - fish pie - P; F; 4 syns (for Colman's sauce)
HEA - milk
HEB - porridge
Syns - sauce 4; 1/2 bar nougat 6.5 (this is the last bar left from Christmas, once this has gone they'll be nothing 'naughty' left in the house:T)
Good luck to anyone going to WI today.

Morning all!
Maman, that poem was the first thing I thought of when I saw Mrs Butler's name
The good news is we are no longer going for a curry after work tomorrow night - was looking forward to it but also quite relieved not to be scuppered even before January is out!
Today:
B - Alpen Lights x2
D - Spiced carrot, leek, onion and lentil soup
T - Salmon with leeks and mushrooms, and maybe some tinned potatoes to pad it out a bit
HEA - Milk
HEB - Alpens
Syns - Sugar in coffee (4), jelly (0.5), hot chocolate (2) = 6.5
Have a good day everyone!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

Yes, sometimes you want to really have a good crack at it and eating out really doesn't help. It feels a bit anti social but I know what you mean. I still try and push social things towards the weekends when I have saved syns but sometimes there isn't a choice.
Hope you're managing to stay awake denise.
Went to WI this morning and lost 2 lbs!:j
So, I'm back in range (just) by 1.5 lbs. I suspect that this week isn't the week I'm going to lose more as I'm out to lunch today and unless there are specials then there isn't very much that's really SW friendly on te online menu but I'll do my best. I was looking at my progress graph on the website yesterday and, although I already knew, it makes it obvious that I'm always hovering near the top of range. I know I'm good at maintaining, I just need to do it at a lower weight!;)
I've had my breakfast (HEB Weetabix and milk) before Wi and will report back later on how lunch goes.:)0 -
Well done Maman! Great loss!
All this talk of beetroot wraps is tempting me to try some for lunches next week. What do you all put in them? I always worry that virtually anything I put in one (chicken, salad, grated carrot...) would be soggy a soggy mess by lunchtime. Unless I prepare the filling in a tupperware and fill it before I eat..?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I adore Turkish food gtq but might there have been some oil used in cooking?
: 0
I am hoping that as it was grilled kebab, there was little or no oil involved, there was certainly only the meat juices visible.
Well done on your loss!
Deniseshame about the lack of lie in, disappointed you are not weighing today, I always you as my guide as you weigh Thurs morning and I do Thursday evening. Hoping to maintain today, though would love a loss.A smile costs little but creates much0 -
Well done Maman, 2lb is a brilliant loss! Think I've probably put on that much this week, feeling really fat and bloated and clean jeans a bit tight this morning!
GTQ no idea why you use me as a guide for you I'm really not feeling it at the moment but actually hate being at top end of target and over - really don't want to be this heavy! Going to really try and stick to plan properly this week as have had a couple of weeks of gaining and only a STS the week before - I just want to lose some weight and get into range properly! Would really like to be towards bottom end by end of February for my month's holiday in France in March!
Had a result in Lidl this morning from going shopping early and managed to get a Sodastream for my fizzy drinks. Had hoped to get one but didn't think I'd have much chance as they only ever have 3 or 4 of their good discounted stuff! Had already bought a couple of syrups in Lakeland whilst we were away in the hope of getting one but was going to buy one at full price if necessary! Have bought diet tonic and Diet Coke syrups - hopefully will save us a fair bit in mixers, although I'll still need to buy diet ginger beer for when I have rum!
Upped the Speed at lunch time with some pickles - pickled onions, pickled beetroot & syn free red onion chutney which I made last year! No syns on salad dressing just used some walnut vinegar.

Crispy Kale, tastes like crispy seaweed from chinese but free and speed
Place on baking try, spray with fylight, sprinkle a teaspoon of sweetener over it and a sprinkle of chinese 5 spice, put in the oven for approx 8 mins but watch it as it burns quick! This was REALLY nice and extra speed
Evening all
Wow Maman!!

I fancy that way of dong kale bubbs, thanks for the tip.:):)
Lunch was more SW friendly than expected. I had potted shrimp/mackerel pate with melba toast (genuine thin stuff) and then chicken with broccoli and new potatoes. The chicken was in a sauce but I removed the butter from the top of the pate. I had tea while others stuffed puddings.:A
No wine syns (so far);)0 -
That's not too bad for a restaurant where you thought you weren't going to be able to get anything low syn! Love pate - have to say that's one of my downfalls which is why I very rarely buy it (except when on hoiday in France:D).
I love crispy kale but haven't made it for ages. Will have to try and remember to buy some next time I go shopping!
Denise
PS. Just to let you know I won't be around tomorrow morning so don't worry that I haven't posted, LOL! I've got my pre op assessment and probably won't be home until lunchtime. The letter says it takes 2 hours, seems a long time to me!0 -
Hope all goes well in the morning Denise .:)
I like pate too. This was a 'budget' version of potted shrimps. It was a mackerel pate (flaked mackerel in some mayo and a very few shrimps. Then it had the usual thick layer of clarified butter on top... but I didn't eat that.:D0
