Do you mean not enough or too much? The dish is quite deep.

Thanks for your kind wishes - DH has just texted to say it's doubtful he'll be back before midnight. :(

Bubbs - It's quite a large casserole dish. There is more than half left - me and DD have had some. I've put the rest in the fridge.

I had mine with some of the fromage frais left over (with sweetener added to taste) and DD had it with Asda's really creamy fudge ice cream. It was lush!

    Happy New Year everyone.

Sorry to hear your DH is not home, hope everything is OK and he's home soon.

Chieveley for some reason I can't open the chart - the link just says it can't find the page.

I just about managed to stay within Syns yesterday by drinking spirits rather than wine! Not sure how many, if any, I have left for today so will have to have another count up.

    Today's plan:

B - scrambled eggs on toast - eggs P; bread HEB
L - tuna salad - tuna P; lettuce, cucumber, tomato, pepper, spring onions S; may also make some coleslaw as have a small piece of red cabbage and a small piece of green cabbage left in the fridge; also got carrots & onions so will need to syn some LTL mayo so probably 1 syn
D - sausages 2; mash F; onions, green veg of some sort S

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - LTL mayo 1 Tbs 1? 2 butchers low fat sausages 2

Glad my syn bank resets tomorrow!

    Denise
  • Morning and a very happy new year to you all.
Today will be the last at of non SW food and Im really looking forwards to getting back to planned food that fits in with the SW programme.
So, after we get home from NYD celebrations I will be a woman on a mission to plan menus and shopping list etc. I have some HB braised steak in freezer and we will have that on Thursday with mash and veg. I’m sure there are several other batch cooked bits in the freezer so will do a full inventory when I get chance.

Same here midge. I'm going to do a corned beef hash for tonight. It's not massively synful (fairly lean corned beef) but it's a nice change from the regular ham hash which is free. I have allowed myself wine syns if I want them and there's one Christmas chocolate left and one packet of crisps. Tomorrow I'm back on it . :)

I have tomorrow's menu planned and then on Friday I'll do a week's menu plan and the shop to go with it. :)
