Well I've no idea where this morning has gone other than doing a bit of shopping as virtually out of salad! Also needed to get some money out to pay builder for some bricks (fences got blown down last month in the strong winds - so we're having walls built instead - definitely less chance of them blowing over in the wind. Bricks delivered about half hour ago.

Had to make some curry powder up when I got back from shopping as I've run out and I'm planning on making a chicken dansahk (sp? I know that's wrong but can't work out what it should be!) using up the LO roast chicken. That will now have to be after lunch.

Glad to hear that there were no problems last night at pilates Tete!

    Today's plan:

B - mushroom, tomato, ham & spring onion omelette (S;P)
    L - jacket potato; cottage cheese & salad (F;P;S)
D - lamb chops, mash, cabbage & green beans (P;F;S)

    HEA - milk
HEB - nothing planned but maybe a couple of hifi bars or Alpen
Syns - none planned but there are still some Purple Ones and Maltesers in the fridge! Also still got one bar of nougat left!

Keep safe everyone with this horrible weather. We've got Amber weather warnings for wind and rain this afternoon and tonight.

  • Windy again here too in Bucks and sooo dark. But pleased to report another 2lbs lost at WI today. Only 2 more to go to get my 6st from before xmas back :D.

Kept my paper food diary daily, plus did the weekly syn bank and that has worked well, so will carry on like that. Celebrating with mini choc orange segments today of 1 syn each, carefully counted :rotfl:. They are small!

Intend to make some crustless quiches and curry loaf for rest of week’s lunches. Plus my MIL had asked me to get her some of the SW recipe books from group, so will have a read before handing them over, esp the Sweet Dreams book! Book of little lunches is now out or print apparently, I already have it, but could not get another. And another offer of free membership in Best magazine this time, tell your friends ;). And a new hifi bar end of the month, honeycomb but nothing to get excited about, it is NOT like a crunchie apparently. New Countdown offer in a couple of weeks with a new A-Z recipe book. Am thinking about this one, but think I ‘only’ have 9lbs left to lose. So would not be very :money: to buy a 12wk countdown in 2 weeks time...

Well done for any losses, stick to the plan, it works :).

Can't see why you can't bubs. Definitely worth giving it a go. Obviously won't be the same as yoghurt but most of these dairy things are pretty interchangeable.

Wow bubbs - great bargains. None of the shops in my area reduce prices like that. Best cheapies I've bought recently was buying Christmas swede in early January for 6p each! Don't normally get anything like that!

It's a while since I've had fromage frais but if I remember rightly it's a bit like sweet yoghurt. I discovered quark and I have to say I definitely prefer that and don't buy fromage frais any more.

I got packs of ham the other week, oh i got 10 packs of flora 10p at the weekend and 8 cornish butter 20p i gave them to my friend she works in the soup kitchens for the homeless so used them there for the bread and butter for the stews.
I asked the chap before why they were cheap as long dates, he said its because they keep sending stock they dont stock, so he can put it out what price he wants and said 10 &20p clears it out :D
There was potato salad and muller corners 10p and other stuff but cant think what, was stuff i wouldn't buy.
I always look in this place first:rotfl: this store is right near where dh works so i go in every day when i collect him too look:rotfl:
