:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: things we do eh? my friend did this once and put a section in the wheelie bin each week for weeks:rotfl::rotfl: Our council charge to take it away and she wasn't going to pay!!
I can't remember what else but she put it on the bbq too burn:rotfl::rotfl: something wooden

I only phoned the council on Wednesday so not too bad waiting until Tuesday for collection - it's the only day they collect in my area so not much choice. Only problem is the new suite isn't coming until Thursday (don't know what time yet, they're texting us on Wednesday to let us know!). I won't be here if it's the morning as that's WI for me.

It's OK I'm not sitting on the middle bit - it's an end bit so I've still got an arm to rest on, LOL! DH has also put the middle bit next to me so I've got somewhere to put my laptop when it's not on my lap:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

Well done on your losses tete and abbafan. Really good!:T

Doing the talk for the whole group is fairly common in January and sometimes September abbafan but doing it for just 4 new members isn't something I've heard of. I think I'd be asking her during WI if she planned to do Image Therapy and see what she says or see if she's talking to new people which should be a good sign.:)

I'm sure councils making it difficult/expensive to collect things has made the fly tipping problem worse. I know they're hugely strapped for cash but it's short sighted IMO. At the moment we can use a county council tip just over a mile away or the city council tip which is 5 miles across the city or 8 miles on the motorway. Obviously we choose the nearest one but the reciprocal arrangement is due to end soon. So we are trying to be green by recycling but we add to traffic to get there.

My supper last night was delicious, plenty of SW friendly stuff. I'm going to allow 10 syns for mayo or dressings on the salads. I was driving and didn't have any wine syns so plenty left in the bank. :)
Yesterday was a planned off-plan day iyswim? Both meals were out, but I didn't come home and scoff a full tube of pringles and family box of maltersers to boot.
It's good that you didn't snack when you got back but how off plan was your day? Do you keep a record of your syns? I know it's not easy when you eat out but an estimate would be better than going over for the week. At least you have a few days to rein back.:)

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit (F), HEB toast, HEA milk, 2 fried eggs (P)
L: LO savoury rice (F,S), lentil and veg soup (P,S)
D: beef in 'red wine' casserole with mushrooms and onions (P,S), SW roast potatoes (F), celeriac, swede & carrot mash, cauli, broccoli, kale, cabbage (S)
Syns: HP sauce 1, cornflour 1, weekend wine:D

I agree with you Maman councils are very short sighted by charging for bulky collections. My council isn't too bad at £25 for up to 4 items. My DSis' council charge £50 per item:eek: but she does live in one of the London suburbs!

Even though I think our council is quite reasonable we still get quite a lot of fly tipping. It doesn't help that people think it's OK just to throw stuff over the cliff towards the beach. We'll be lucky if we've still got a cliff in 50 years time!

Out tip is literally 1/2 mile away yet people still fly tip! Laziness is half the trouble

  • Well done on your losses Tweets and Abbafan!

Rosie is lovely! Is she settling in well?

Maman, I had 34 syns 'left over' last week and honestly won't have gone over that yesterday.

Small change of plan today, I ran out of time to make the soup at lunchtime so grabbed a SW frozen meal while out shopping with gran and had that for lunch (paella), and just making the soup now - it's this one. I had meant to bulk it out a bit with leeks and onions but forgot :o, it's still tasty though.

Managed my 6.5 mile run, very proud of myself, furthest I've gone since last Easter.

I'm now craving a scotch egg thanks to Bubbs!

Have a relaxing end to the weekend everyone!
