  • bubbs not sure about the LM sausages in Asda, don’t get there often, is quite a trek. You would think offers were the same in all stores? I know Tesco ran out of them the past 2 weeks, so was glad to find them in Waitrose qnd got some for the freezer.

Beanie well done for biting the bullet and getting back to group. Will you go back or go it alone? Think I am lucky, we have quite a nice bunch and have a bit of a laugh most weeks, and lots of support if you want it. Plenty people just come and weigh and leave, always the same that stay. I couldn’t bear to stay first time I gained, knowing I would get the ‘sad’ face and tone from leader. Was ok over xmas, as it was a tiny group one week and the next week just WI :o.

Flateric time for a pat on the back every now and again, when you realise how far you’ve come already! :T The strain our bodies must have been under, carrying all that extra blubber :o. Next aim for me is to get my 6st shiny back, then on to the next one, 6.5st and that may be target for me, we’ll see.

Sary good idea about the jelly, I need things to look forward to, to keep me on plan, and have a sweet tooth. Have been sprinkling the crystals over grapes somes evenings, but having jelly ready in the fridge will make a nice change. The Tesco strawberry quark you mention, should it be synned? Is it their own brand? Will be in T later, might look out for it.

My friend in NL has done SW in UK before, going to group. She joined online from NL last year, but packed it in before xmas as she did not think it was worth the money. She still follows the plan and gets the mag and has recipe books but saves the £5/month ;).

WI for me later today, fingers crossed for a loss after 2 wks of gains :o. Just a coffee until then I think, and a wet dogwalk soon. Hope you all have a good day :).

PIB the strawberry quark is 1 syn for the 225g pot. so not bad synwise if you want a sweet treat.

Good luck with WI later. I'm sure you'll be fine.

Sorry to hear that midge. Too much going around at this time of the year.
D egg, sw chips and pickled beets.

Yum! Yum! What time shall I be round?:D

Thanks for the heads up on Slimming Eats. I have seen the site from time to time and I'm always on the look out for new recipes. I want something that does braised pork chops//steaks in a sauce/gravy in the oven or SC. Pre SW we used to have them braised in orange juice and soy but now I don't think the juice is worth the syns. Any ideas?

It seems like there's a general consensus that SW online is a waste of money. What would you hope to get from it FE?

We're having YS salmon from Sainsbury's tonight. It comes with a chilli & ginger sauce which I was planning to give to DH. Pleased when I looked it up that it's only half a syn. :D

I used 2 syns yesterday so now on 22 left.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, baked beans (F), fried egg, bacon (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L: LO pork (P), fried potatoes (F), fried veg and pickles (S)
D: baked salmon (P), SW chips (F), cauli steak, broccoli, tomatoes and mushrooms
    Syns: chilli sauce 0.5

Maman - there are a couple of pork in sauce recipes on the Slimmingeats website - one in teriyaki sauce and one with hoisin sauce. Both use pork tenderloin (fillet) but sure they would both work with pork chops/ steaks. Both recipes are 2.5 syns per portion.

I actually bought some pork fillet last week which I've frozen and I'm planning on doing the teriyaki pork one later this month.

Pleased to report back after WI today with the 2.5lbs I put on last week lost :D. So firmly back on the wagon. Have printed myself some more meal tracking sheets, and will join you with the weekly synbank, starting today with 105, less 6.8 so far :rotfl:.

Pasta bake with 5% meatballs planned for dinner and off to look up if the Waitrose teriyaki beef strips are worth buying (on offer at the mo but couldn’t figure it out in the shop).

Just worked out with the Syns Estimator the 250g pack of Waitrose Teriyaki style beef rump stir fry, on offer for £2 I think, is 5.5 syns per pack, so not bad for 2 meals. Might get some if still on offer next time ;).
