  • Oh mhm word guys, I am leaning more towards Slimming Eats website as the syns are listed and ate their saut!ed sprouts with roast butternut squash, it was amazing. New year resolution is to cook something new each week to target, hope to to do it in 6 months, that is 26 new recipes:D

I use Slimming Eats quite a bit too. Some good recipes on there and as you say syns are quoted but it's worth checking as American SW is slightly different to UK.

Plenty of recipes for you to choose from for a new recipe every week.

How much more to target GTQ? Good luck in getting there.

I started going to a new group in November - there's only a few members at the moment and most of them are the consultant's friends.

I'm hoping more will join now it's the new year - but I don't want to keep on going just because I feel sorry for the consultant. I don't know if you have a deadline for getting more members before they close the group down.

I decided to have a change of groups as the consultant from my previous group imo was getting a bit big-headed and the image therapy seemed to be all about her.

My weigh in day is Tuesday Eve now instead of Saturday morning.

Have a good evening everyone. xxx

2 maybe 2/12 st, been a long slow journey, but I didn't translate my loss to date into an actual weight. I am resonably strong, but today I tried to pick up a delivery at work, I succeeded, but when I realised that the weight of the transformer was the same as my 4 1/2 st loss, it was quite sobering to register the strain my body was under while carrying thar excess weight. I know we say 1lb butter or 2lb sugar at a time, but by the time I finish, it will be the weight of an adolescent

FE I was using SW online a few hrs ago, but apart from getting the magazine delivered and access to the online syn calc it wasn’t worth the £. I’m not a fan of the group Set up - personally I think it needs a complete overhaul as it’s definitely a barrier to success of a group, group enjoyment and keeping members WL on track if they don’t like to stay. From my experience it’s hardly altered in the 20yrs since I 1st joined. The world is a different place now, and the clapping..... urgh! (Tweets FB parody post was spot on). I find it so patronising. But, thank goodness we have a lovely place like this thread to have a daily meeting :)

So still on plan after 6 days - go me!

    Yesterday:
B - banana 1/2 pot strawberry quark (yum BTW from MrT)
L - porridge, 1tsp sugar (1), apple slices, cinnamon & milk from HEA. SF jelly with nectarine & mango & cream (3)
    Snack - Apple
D - Powters 3% fat skinny sausages (1/2 syn each? If so 2 Syns), mash, beans, gravy (2)

    Today:
B - banana 1/2 pot strawberry quark (yum BTW from MrT)
L - porridge, 1tsp sugar (1), apple slices, cinnamon & milk from HEA.
SF jelly with snowball melon & cream (3)
    Snack - Apple
    D - HM burgers, aw chips, salad & dressing/ketchup (2)

My new secret weapon is sf jelly. I make a pint every couple of days, have it with fruit and treat myself to a dessert spoon of cream in it. It feels SO indulgent. I’ve been struggling with repeatedly feeling nauseous and not sure yogurt wasn’t aggravating it, hence having quark as it doesn’t have lactose, but quark is more expensive most of the time. Anyway, I know if I have something to look forward to food wise I will stay on track, so this is my new way of helping achieve that.

Need to meal plan for the rest of the week too, so will do that during my lunch break.

    Have a good day all.

I like the plain quark but find the strawberry one far too sweet. I tried it because a lot of people at group were raving about it but definitely not for me. I don't particularly like yoghurt but DH does so I buy both every week. I buy the litre greek style from Mr Ts for DH and also use it when we have baked oats or overnight oats so doesn't get wasted.

I really must get back into making SF jelly again - used to make it quite regularly but haven't for a long time now.

    Today's plan:

    B - beans on toast - HEB; F
    L - carrot & lentil soup - S; P
    D - steak, HM chips, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes - P; F; S

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - none planned but will probably have something (yesterday I had a Purple One 2.5 Syns and 2 lotus biscuits - 4 syns).
