What a lovely offer ailz95
haven't seen yeast in the shops for weeks but thankfully have some.
Hope everyone is well and keeping safe. I'm currently waiting for a quiche to finish cooking which used up the remains of a pepper and onion which was in last night's risotto, the end of a bag of frozen peas and also has salmon in it. The other half of the salmon fillet will be mixed with cream cheese to make salmon pate and the scraps of pastry were turned into little jam tarts.

I also have enough yeast but thanks.
Make do - slightly larger pots when potting up my houseplants. They will hopefully continue to grow!
Mend - fixed my shower door handle. The last fix lasted about 2 years so fingers crossed.
Minimise - lots including rubbish from garden, mugs and loads of paperwork.8 -

Hello all again. I hope everyone is well.Made Do- I sowed some more seeds today from my out of date stash as I can't go anywhere to buy new seeds. They can either grow or the can't.- Used up my store of toilet roll inners to make seed pots.- I needed to find somewhere to store all my netting at the allotment when it is not in use then I remembered I had an old swing bin up in the loft which I decided I didn't need in the kitchen any more as I don't create that much waste now. That has now been taken to the allotment for the netting.- I made a vest top out of some fabric I had left over from another project but I didn't have quite enough to make matching bias binding so I had a look in my craft cupboard and found some in a matching colour which worked reasonably well.Mend- I re-did the waistband on some denim shorts I made earlier this year as I wasn't quite happy with it. I am now very happy with it.- Moved the daffodils that were finished in my garden to somewhere else as they were swamping some other plants. It looks a lot better now.- Did some more weeding and cut the grass at the allotment so I have now nearly caught up after a delay in being able to get up there this year. It is now looking really neat and tidy. The hope is now I can stay on top of it.Minimise- Knitted another hat for the premature baby collection from my stash. I now have 3 blankets, 3 cardigans, 8 hats, 3 cannula gloves and 4 pairs of bonding squares.- Made a vest top out of left over fabric from an earlier project. There was a lot more that I did than I thought although I'm not sure if the weeding/grass cutting at the allotment can be considered a mend but it looked like it had been mended afterwards. That has made me feel better.about my achievements.

Tried out a new recipe last night - veg thai green curry, it was lovely and definitely one we'll be repeating. Tonight will be sausage and roasted veg which will get rid of some leftover roasties from Sunday plus a few peppers. Usually I just buy 1 pepper at a time but last time I went shopping I could only get a bag. There's a few pears that have gone a bit soft so OH is going to make a crumble
Got a small mending pile to tackle at some point and the ironing pile definitely needs minimised! Right now though, I better get myself off the sofa and organised for work. Hope everyone has a good day.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.9.25 - £105,664.31

Crumble last night was lovely, no leftovers unfortunately. We don't have any cream in the house so made do by using evaporated milk instead.
Got a load of washing dried on the line yesterday even though I didn't hang it out until after I got home from work - minimising electricity use by not having to use the heated airer.
Out for a walk at the moment as on a late shift. Beautiful day and fairly quiet which is good. Once I get home, I'm going to do a wee bit of gardening and get rid of some weeds.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.9.25 - £105,664.31

Not quite as expert at MM&M as you lovely people, but I have re-used some plastic netting for my loganberry to climb along. DH drilled some holes in the garage wall for me so once the netting was in place, I braved the lethal prickles!
I've also repurposed a big dumpy bag that some gravel came in, to put compost in to grow some veggies. I've got some peas about a foot tall in the kitchen window so far, and seeds for runner beans, chard and carrots.2025 Fashion on the ration
