Thanks Annieb64. I will look them up. Good of you to support a cause dear to my heart. My mum had dementia so I understand the idea now.7

Have been busy mending over the last few days. My Son bought me 2 mending books so I am inspired.
Have repaired several pairs of knickers that needed new elastic. This is the second batch this year. Then mended a favourite T shirt with darning and blanket stitching the neck. Lastly tidied up the cuffs on my favourite sweater which had started to unravel.
On the making front, not much but did add to the christmas tree decs with home made objects to dangle from it.We reuse the tree every year and as many of the decs as possible.
Reducing wise, I have tidied my shelves and clothes drawers so there was a lot of 'what on earth did I keep that for '? moments. Its me Culpepper LOL couldn't sign in with the old ID so time for a fresh start....11 -
I used up a big ball of chunky wool by making a pixie hat come scarf for myself! I really do not suit pull on hats, and it's been so cold lately, I had a look on Pinterest to see what was on offer. I found a knitted version but didn't have the right size needles in circulars, for the length needed, so I made up my own crocheted version. It's lovely and warm. I'm not bothered if people think I'm a bit batty wearing it, if it keeps me warm!2025 Fashion on the ration

Happy New Year to all MMMers!Make: Made a Shabby chic Happy Birthday banner using up some pretty printed fabric to make bunting, and appliquéd the letters from an old black tee shirt. Attached the bunting to some vintage piping cord, so all free! (Saved the £2.50 I could have spent in Tesco 🤣). Also, used The legs from a pair of Santa pj trousers to make two Christmas stockings. The pjs are to big, and take up wasted space in the Xmas storage. Now turned into something more useful for next year. 🎄
Mend: No mending.
Minimise: Trying to make some space in the freezer, by using lots of packs of Indian snacks for lunch. It has made little difference !

I've made two birthday cards. Been minimising lots, paperwork, kitchen & boxes in the shed. Still LOTS to do! Currently knitting a hot water bottle cover for mum's birthday next month.
Is there a 2021 thread?Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
