Hi everyone, still mmming, especially during lockdown in the summer months as I lost weight last winter and my summer clothes were much too big, so had a go at altering some things, some worked, some didn't but only ended up buying a couple of t shirts when lockdown ended the first time!
Today:
Make do: Used up leftovers for my lunch, remembered to take reusable bags for the main shop (usually it all ends up lose in the boot of the car!)
Mend: nothing today, but busy knitting socks for Christmas pressies.
Minimise: I will have to have a look as I had a very big clear out whilst in lockdown and the place looks quite empty to me, but its good to keep looking. Did a freezer inventory a couple of weeks ago and also a pantry one as well. so I know what I have now.

I have done quite a bit of make do, mending and minimising that I thought I can report back on:
Make do = Made a corden for gooseberries out of repurposed posts.
Mend = Repaired guttering on shed and greenhouse so water could fill water butts properly. Repaired rose trellis with metal gate. Repaired hole in shed to stop water getting in. Replaced a wiper blade on my car (I did it myself rather than paid someone to do it).
Minimised = Knitted some wool into a lace wrap, recycled half my sewing magazines (I have taken out the bits I thought were worth keeping), bagged up paper patterns I'm not likely to ever make for people to have or to take to charity shops.
I have just started my annual declutter so hopefully some more bits will go out soon.Lisa

I've been decluttering my wool stash this year, making cowls & hats for Christmas presents. I'd love to join your thread for next year, as my tiny house needs to be sorted through & at least half of the items removed!Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

I knit for a local group who supply knitted items for hospitals, nursing homes, charities for the homeless and refugees. We are hoping to move next year so I'm just trying to use up all my yarn. I've just finished a lap blanket but still have aran for hats for the homeless and baby wool for cardigans and then bonding squares. Then I might use all the oddments for twiddlemuffs.

I also have a yarn stash and am always looking for new ideas.
What is twiddlemuff and how is it made? Crochet, I hope.
Stay safe everyone.10 -
Twiddlemuffs are knitted muffs about 12 inches long for dementia patients. I've only knitted them but you could probably crochet them. If you Google "twiddlemuff" you will find instructions and a better description. Also instructions of where to send them. I pass mine on to the woman who runs our craft group as she is in contact with our local hospitals.10
