    Good evening everyone :)

2goals2get2, dumpling, Bfh, Izadora, janiebaby very well done to all of you on your losses! :j:j:j:j:j 8lb between you!

dumpling your menus for this week look very tasty! I hope you’ll be able to wear your new dresses this summer - a great goal to aim at. :)

Bfh however long the journey, there’s good company here on the way, and the destination is well worth it :)

    Bluegreen143 hiya and welcome :hello:

Izadora well done for Friday, and wow! what a lot of work you did on Saturday!! :) No wonder you ended up with  :D And enjoying Sunday roast lunch with friends is just ace!

I’m sorry you’re feeling disappointed with the rate you’re losing weight, but as long as it goes off you’re doing well. :) Our bodies try to protect us from dying of starvation, so cutting calories can be counterproductive. :)

Brambling thank you for updating our table :A

I hope that lurgy will go away soon, but glad it hasn’t developed into full cold/flu.

I’m sitting here falling asleep, so apologies if it’s a bit disjointed. The trouble with providing the biscuits is the leftovers: I ought to bin them to save my waist but hate the food waste :(

    Eaten today:
    B: bacon & eggs
L: jacket potato with baked beans, skyr, apple
D venison burger (no bread or potatoes) with mixed veg, cinnamon yogurt
S: biscuits - too many:eek:, but one is too many really.

    Evening All

Well it was my Saturday off just gone, I always struggle with staying on track when the whole family are in. Didn't do too badly... until Sunday when I caved and made mixed berry crumble, I do so love crumble. We had hm shish kebabs with pittas and salad so dinner wasn't too bad. Oh I also made cheese and onion bread on Saturday and ate most of it myself
    Today I had
    B porridge milk/water, pear
    Cereal bar
L sort of cheesy rice with butternut squash and kale, it was filling from my stuffed squash last week that wouldn't fit!
D lo meatballs and spag (more lo)

I love the hairy bikers too, their slimming books are pretty tasty, would you say the second pon book is worth getting dumpling? I do like the first one. I love the slimming eats website.

I have been using my exercise bike each night (have surprised myself) I only manage 30 minutes each day but it's a start.

Cranky, I think putting yourself first is an excellent idea, I think busy mums can disappear within their families sometimes, and it's good to remember that you are a person and have wants and needs too.

Well done on the loss janiebaby, it can be disheartening sometimes, buts it's all moving the right way and all those little losses add up x

Sounds like you had a busy weekend Izadora I usually weigh in on Wednesday and thought I might also weigh in on sundays to try and help me stay on track....well I was exactly the same as the previous Wednesday, despite being good and using my exercise bike, very disappointing, I shan't be doing that again, will stick to once a week I think, well done on the loss though, small steps in the right direction x

Brambling, sorry you are still not 100% hopefully to you'll be back to feeling yourself soon...bread is my kryptonite

  • Evening all,
It's funny how we get over a cold fairly easily ( or without complaining too much!!) and the men folk in my life are laid up for nearly a week with it......mmm!!!
I did feel for DS as he spent his Birthday in bed streaming with cold and DH had come back from work and promptly went to bed he was feeling so ill,so the meal out we were going to have had to be put back to Friday, I was very good though I had a ceaser salad but failed terribly on the pudding by having a chocolate brownie, I'm thrilled and very surprised to say I've lost 2lb and a smidge!! ( Not sure how you emoji a smidge Brambling!!) We have fancy piece Friday so everyone takes it in turn to bake cakes it's hard to resist when you don't have the best of weeks so I compleatly understand Brambling.
I have been Skiing yesterday, or at least tried too, at least I didn't put DS to shame !!
I hope your lurgy doesn't last as long as ours seems to have done!
Well Done Procrastinator and Dumpling on doing so well!
    Hello, Bluegreen, Welcome!
I like the sound of your butter chicken Cranky - without the butter! i may have to try that.
Hope everyone has a good week x

Bfh you can weigh in any day you chose, I'll be honest I don't keep track :rotfl:

Jackrabbit I did think about using  for a smidge but decided you can carry over to next week, a head start :). Well done on the 2lbs :T

Janiebaby29 at this stage I would take any loss so :T on your half. I understand the frustration

I have really enjoyed the recipes from the second book and bought copies for my eldest daughter and my sister. They have enjoyed cooking from it too so I would recommend it.

    Morning all.
    Thanks Brambling :D
We’ve a cold doing the rounds here, too, jackrabbit, am hoping I dodge it!
Had a really irritating, niggly day at work yesterday; I didn’t eat anything till gone 2.00 so was so hungry that I ended up eating crisps as well as my sarnie!
    B -
L - ham and cheese sandwich, crisps
    D - pasta with a hm tomato-ey seafood sauce
    S - a Lindor chocolate :o
    Have a good day all.

I have been weighing myself more frequently since my STS last week and it has been most anxiety provoking so i agree with you wholeheartedly x

    Morning All,

Cranky Best of luck with the self care, it's all too easy to see to everyone else's needs and forget your own, and well done for getting back to running

Brambling I love the sausage casserole too, it's what I'm having for dinner tonight :D Four hours of Porgy & Bess!! I'm glad you enjoyed it but I think I would struggle to stay away through that.

janiebaby Well done on the loss. Despite my whingeing yesterday I do accept that any loss is a good thing so you're heading the right way. As much as I sympathise with hating the way you are, try to be kinder to yourself and I hope that you feel better with things soon.

Blue Doggy I definitely don't think I'm eating few enough calories that my body thinks I'm starving :D I just looked through Myfitnesspal and Fitbit and my averages last week were 1,500 in / 2,700 out. I think Fitbit possibly overstates my calories out by adding my walks to and from the station as exercise so I might try working my totals out without them.
I hope you had a good time with your friends yesterday, biscuits in company are definitely better than those eaten alone. I hate wasting food as well, especially nice stuff, so best of luck with dealing with the leftovers

Sirens I often struggle with weekends too but well done for making it to Sunday before caving, and if you're going to cave then berry crumble and cheese and onion bread sounds like a particularly delicious way to do it :D Well done on getting on the bike each day.

jackrabbit Well done on the loss and you're very brave to attempt skiing  It's not something I've ever considered doing, I quite like my limbs unbroken :rotfl:

Bfh Niggly days definitely call for crisps and not eating until late means you've not used up your morning's calories. I sometimes skip breakfast just so that I can have more for lunch :o

Molly I think the frequency of how often you weigh in is different for everyone so definitely stick to what you're most comfortable with.

    Yesterday's food was
    B - bran flakes
L - Quorn ham and salad wrap
D - Pasta with mushrooms, onions, Quorn bacon, walnuts, blue cheese and creme fraiche.
S - Hotel chocolat lemon caramel and salted espresso martini

Today's breakfast and lunch will be a repeat of yesterday and then I've got Hairy Bikers' sausage casserole (from the freezer) with veg for dinner.

    Best of luck everyone xx

    Good evening everyone :)

I’m falling asleep here, so shan’t make a long post. Keep up the good work everyone and don’t lose heart (just pounds (or kilos) :D ).

Wishing everyone with lurgies or symptoms a quick recovery.

    B: porridge
L: salmon (tinned) with salad of chicory, lambs lettuce and apple, tangerine
D steak, mushrooms, broccoli, parsnip followed by cinnamon yogurt.
    S: none

Hmmm. So far just shy of 13k steps and about to get out the door to go swimming (writing it here so I actually go!).

    Food a mixed bag:

    B - blueberry overnight oats

S - a friend dropped by and brought me a large bakery pain au chocolate... would have been rude to refuse...

L - tuna, sweet potato & potato fishcakes with some tomatoes & peppers, fine but quite a big portion as my 13mo refused hers so I ate that too... but then it got me through the afternoon without a snack which is unusual...

D - homemade bolognaise (bulked out with veg & lentils) with penne & I consciously stuck to a sensible pasta portion unlike usual. Plus some broccoli tossed in a smidge of butter

Actually writing it down it seems better than I remember :) hope everyone else is having a successful day.
