My £6 survey was approved nice and quickly so I'll cash that out tomorrow.
I've had my car insurance renewal today, it's about £20 more expensive than last year. I've done a comparison, and apart from one quote which is a lot cheaper, they are all largely similar. I have to phone them to either cancel or renew as I want to switch to annual payment rather than monthly (hurrah!) so I will try and haggle a bit before I decide."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Good luck on haggling. Tell them the cheap price.
I hate toilet seats. They never last long enough. If it just looks ugly I'd let it go for now. I keep mine going til they hurt your bum lol.
Electrics are a big step forward to getting your house your way. You'll get there lovely xxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000

I might leave the seat for now. It is so much sturdier than the previous one, so in that sense it's an improvement. It's so annoying though."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -
I had a good tidy up of the kids toys downstairs today. It looked much better for 5 minutes until little miss spotted all the toys she hadn't seen for a while!
The kids identified a few more bits to go. DH has prepped and I have listed. 36 items listed today. Several from last week are selling as well, so progress being made slowly but surely."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". 9 parcels posted today, with a couple of bulky items gone, hurrah! We still have a few more to pay up as well.
We've also given away a TV, video player and freeview box today. They were all very old and destined for the tip, but someone requested them just as DH was loading up the car. It's nice to know they have gone, and it's another bit of space recovered.
I realised yesterday that the headboard on our bed is cracked. DH is going to check it hasn't extended to any of the rest of the frame. I think it all needs a bit of tightening up. Hopefully that will be enough to keep it going a bit longer!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". The bulky stuff is very satisfying for sure! The kids are doing well but they may have been encouraged by me telling them there isn't any room for any new toys, so they don't need anything for Christmas 😆 (I do make it clear they only need to get rid of stuff they don't want to play with any more!)Kitten868 said:I always love hearing about the bulky bits disappearing from your house.
