What does your full house fund mean? Can you start looking at home improvements? Electrics and windows? It really is fantastic news jwil. I hope that helps with your mental health regarding it all. I'm so impressed with you. You've cleared your own clutter and you've done so well and pushed your oh to get his clutter gone too. He certainly has taken it all on seriously and your being so patient supporting him. Overall you should be so proud.

It's an emergency fund for the house. We are not in a position to get it all done yet, but if something breaks and needs fixing urgently, there won't be that feeling of dread about how on earth are we going to pay for it! It is harder at the moment, not being able to get rid of stuff so easily. We're trying to focus on stuff where we can still get rid via ebay etc and trickling out to charities as we can."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I've cashed out from PA and received a refund for some trousers I ordered that arrived with a hole in them. I will reorder the trousers but that can wait until next month. That's a little top up to my bank account, very welcome.
I've just applied for the working from home tax break, so will have a couple of £ extra in my salary. It's nothing major, but every little helps!
It's wet and miserable here and I have no plans to go anywhere this weekend! It's DH's turn to take the kids swimming, so I am thinking a nice snuggly weekend, out in my favourite chair out the back where I can see and listen to the rain, and read a book. I might do a bit of baking too. Little miss asked if we could make a rainbow cake. That's way out of my skill set, but I'm sure we can make something.
