:D Her books have been a revelation for me - they really helped me get on and declutter my stuff. I know they don't work for everyone, but they did for me.  How long the folding will last is another matter altogether :disappointed:

I’ve never managed to get the clothes to stand up
I don't think mine would stand up alone, but stacked that way in the drawer they all look good.

I didn't like the towels either last time I did it.  I think I'll just go ahead with folding them.  I can't seem to roll them neatly either :D

I always plan to get rid of so much that I don't have to do any crazy folding as there's enough space to fold. As you can imagine I get caught out every so often but I feel like I'd never know what it is without unfolding it all. You've pushed me to check the PE kit situation. Especially now they have to wear it all day.
Sounds like you're moving mountains at your house jwil! Sounds great. I may have convinced my husband to take down another wall... whoops.
Oh the other thing was my daughters rainbows collects clothes to raise money so I don't know if yours does the same?
Keep going! You're doing great xxx
I'm the same, want to get rid of as much as possible, but I swear it breeds!  I can still tell what it is most of the time as I fold so that any detail is on the outside.  It just looks pretty!
Are yours in PE kit all day?  We're back in full uniform.
Our school collects clothing, but the banks aren't accessible when the school is closed.  I've dropped it all off at the school next to nursery, so they can have the funds.  I'll have another load by the time school goes back once I've done mine and the airing cupboard, so will either use the school or use the air ambulance clothing bank nearby.  I always donate the excess uniform to the school so they can get the funds from reselling it.

Exciting about another wall, have you got any left? :D  How is the house coming along?

All the clothing is now gone.  Nursery have given a few bits back, but took most of the stuff I dropped off yesterday so that's good :)  Little jwil is currently doing some puzzles that they've decided they don't want, so we can ensure the pieces are all there.

It's been very stormy but is brightening up a bit now, I don't know if it will get worse again later, so won't be out and about today.  I'll just potter about a bit I think, and mix up a bit of cleaning/decluttering with a bit of reading (decluttering books :) )

I've just put a casserole in the slow cooker for later as well.

I've been updating my financials today.  I am now going to up my debt payments to a hefty £20 a month :D  I'm actually very excited about that as they will be going down a bit more, but still leaving me room to save up for F&F settlements :)

I've also been working on our retirement plan.  If we were to retire when I was 55, we could achieve that by saving £500 a month (would be a very basic retirement though).  Once we both reach official retirement date, our DB pensions and state pension would keep us very comfortably, so I'm just looking at what we need to be able to retire early and cover the gap until that all kicks in.  I love the thought that it is possible without too much effort (that's essentially the childcare bill once nursery ends and if I continued to work from home)  however, it's not really realistic as it would mean we wouldn't be able to do the work to the house etc.  However, even putting it off a few years means it would still be feasible for us to retire earlier and any earlier is a bonus to me!  Of course, it would also give us freedom to work part time instead which would also free up a lot of time.

So that hopefully will keep me focused on living frugally, paying down the debts, getting the house sorted and trying to clear the mortgage too over the next decade or so!  It also doesn't take into account supporting the kids through Uni etc so all of that will need to be taken into account.

I've also managed to change little jwil's swimming lesson so it's adjacent to little miss's.  That will save us from having to come home and then go back again almost straight away.  Time and fuel saving there :)
