Good news about the money. Would have been nice to get an actual £100, but at least one of your debts is a bit lower now. Enjoy your week off next week.

As it's such a huge amount, I have made the executive decision to add it to the 'fun' pot and use it towards a day outin_need_of_direction said:So, is the £5 going into the offer pot or is a mad party planned?

I took the kids on a bit of a 'park crawl' this morning. We visited a few different parks in the area. They enjoyed themselves and at various points saw friends of theirs or made new ones.
We chilled out this afternoon. I'm feeling shattered today and I've been extremely anxious today, not sure why, it's probably just because I've got a lot to do at work tomorrow. I was hoping to get most of it done yesterday but it didn't happen.
I read an interesting book today 'Why we get fat' by Gary Taubes. He's an advocate of low carb eating and went into some of the science behind it. It was an interesting read and I might try and find some of the actual scientific papers behind it."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I'm off now, hurrah! I managed to get most of what I wanted to achieve done. The rest is due to delays from other people, so not much I could do about it.
I'm looking forward to a break from it all now."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5 -

If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
Emergency fund 350/1000
Buffer fund 100/100

We've had a nice productive day today

We've been through everything in the van and sorted it out. We then trekked around 3 different towns to find some charity shops that were open and accepting donations. So a car boot full has gone to various charities. DH also has a car boot full destined for the tip and a bit more to go to charity. We also have a pile of toys/books which I asked nursery if they would like, so will take them in next week (along with some clothes) and they can pick and choose what they want. We also gave a play pen to a neighbour.
In addition to that, the kids have been sorting through their toys and there are 3 boxes full to go. DH will sort through it and put it all back together and divvy it up between ebay, nursery, charity, save for car booting or bin. Once I've tidied everything up, we should have some more space!
I want to finish sorting through all the clothing, and some stuff from little miss will go to nursery (I've already asked them if they want it) and the rest will be taken to the air ambulance clothing bank. I want to do the airing cupboard as well as that will be able to go as well.
I've got a week and a half off now, and want to make the most of it, seeing as little miss wanted to stay in nursery for her last week."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -
