Hope everyone is well
Another week over and it's the weekend. Hurrah! No real plans.
I've cashed out £5 amazon today from a survey site.
We had a bit of a shock this morning, DH came home from walking the dog to find a fox in the house! I was upstairs and the kids were still in bed. It must have come in the back door. He managed to let it out again, and the dog and cat weren't particularly impressed and chased it out of the garden. We have a picture of it with the dog just looking at the camera as if to say '!!!!!!??'"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hope everyone is well
I've decided that enough is enough (again!) and I've got to try and get back on with the healthy eating. To my horror I am now too heavy for my scales. It's not good enough and is definitely affecting my health and my mental health. I'm in a vicious circle and need to get out of it somehow. So I'm going back to the title of this diary - nothing will change unless I make the decision to change. If I do what I've always done, nothing is going to happen. So this weekend I'm going to sit down and plan. I've ordered myself the new two chubby cubs planner (I really like their recipes) and I am going to plan my meals again. I'm going to try and prep some stuff this weekend as well so I've got stuff to snack on. I have to try and break my chocolate habit as that is my biggest downfall and I can easily eat 1000 calories + just in chocolate if I'm not careful.
I cashed out another £5 amazon voucher this morning, so this, plus the one from yesterday, plus a cash out from PA means that the planner has cost me nothing
I've had the result of my Covid test and I don't have itNot that I was expecting otherwise.
I've also had a letter from my car insurance giving me a refund of £10 to cover the fact I'm not using it. I'll take that

Good luck with your weight loss Jwil. I'm sure you're not alone in putting on weight during lock down. I put on a few pounds in lockdown but I'm starting to lose them again now I'm back at work every day. The trouble with working at home is that the kitchen is too accessible.
I hate hot weather too, but if we had air con in the house DH would have it on all the time and I'd be cold, plus our electricity bill would shoot through the roof!
A tenner from your car insurance is a lot better than nothing. Have a lovely weekend with hopefully a respite from the heat.

I think if we got aircon, I'd try and put it upstairs in the bedrooms rather than downstairs. Our front room is north facing so stays relatively cool, but upstairs is like an oven, even the north facing bedrooms. I was looking at the running costs too. I just think that we are going to get more of these heatwaves in the future, so will need some way of dealing with the heat.
I'm loving the cooler weather. I'm much happier with it around 20 degrees. I've decided I'm going to buy a couple of weeks worth of SW ready meals to try and get me on track to start with. That will hopefully give me a boost without too much effort. If I'm lucky it will get me back within my scales limit! It will cost a fortune, but hopefully will be worth it to get me going.
Plans for today are a bit of listing and some packing for things that sold yesterday. A little more leaving the house! I want to do a bit of baking as well to use up some of the stuff around the house.
I've been very organised and posted my friend and her child's birthday presents for next month. This month has been quite expensive for birthdays and I've still got one more to get for next month.
Hope everyone has a good day"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee7
