Thank you, I'm not so bad today thankfully!

I’m often full of rage, but I think we often hold it in so quietly it makes it ten times angrier! One day a bunch of ladies will have a riot and no one will know what set it off….everything, I tell you, every little darn thing 🤣 Yesterday in a meeting I was writing on my notepad ‘if xxx calls me the wrong name one more time I’ll xxxx explode’….he did….I didn’t…I just seethed while answering politely… 😡
I'm with you on the riot :D  God, someone calling me by the wrong name just drives me insane!  Like you, I never actually said anything :D  Our old MD constantly called me by the wrong name.  It was just one letter difference, but it drove me crazy.  It was one of many things that made me feel like he didn't value me.  I get that it's an accident many times, especially as we work with someone with the 'other' name, but when it's regular it's annoying.  I used to want to reply to emails with the offending letter highlighted in bold :D:D

Today's fabulous news is that the kids now have a new window!  Hurrah!  It's so much better, it's brighter, more secure, safer as it has a child latch on, just darned amazing!  It should be much quieter when the neighbours are having an outdoor party as well.

If we could just find an electrician we could get that room finished, decorated and carpeted.

In other fabulous news, my cat appears to be feeling better  :)  I was really worried yesterday as she was very withdrawn (more so than usual), didn't eat at all, and was just tucked away in hidden corners.   She'd been sick the night before (not unusual) and had peed on my clothes.  However about 10 o clock last night she reappeared and ate a bit, and then since I got up for the loo at 4am, she hasn't stopped eating :D  She's made up for it by pretty much eating yesterday and today's food, and is back to her usual mischief of using the top of the stairs as a scratching post and lying across the top step hoping to trip us up and break our necks.  She also expressed sheer horror that I had allowed a strange man into the kids room so she couldn't get to 'bed of the month'.

I also had my usual panic cleaning because someone is coming to the house, so the house is looking tidy ready for the weekend :)

  • Lots of positives there. Bet it's a relief to have the windows done

LOL 🤣 winter warrior at the riot comment. One of my goals currently is to be angry on time and express it appropriately rather than letting it get bottled up...

  • @savingholmes what a great goal.
brilliant news about the window and the cat.
I agree about the incorrect name calling. It does undervalue you as they can’t be bothered to get it right. Mine is similar to the wrong name, for example if you were a Joanne and being constantly called Joan….drives me insane 😡…and there’s the rage!
