I also have my name mispronounced on a near daily basis. Have got used to it and sometimes find it amusing what people can come up with 😆. To be fair, it is an Irish name and they are usually confusing. I do miss my easily pronounced maiden name though as now people get my first and last name wrong 🤦🏻♀️.SPC 0763

People get my name right they just shorten it which I loathe with a passion. I also find companies take no notice of how I spell it ( it is a male/female name but with different spellings. That reall bugs me as it shows a lack of attention to details. My surname also has a wierd spelling , blame my husband, so the chance of getting both correct is fairly slim.

I also detest my name being said in our local accent (very farmer-ish). Sounds totally wrong.
I keep waking up furious. I blame boris. I don't think it has anything to do with hormones.
So pleased the window is done. I hope you get the electrician sorted soon and they can both have perfect rooms soon xxx"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3 -

The story is my parents have a completely different name chosen until the midwife who delivered me had the same name, my parents loved it and that was that. I carried it on and we gave our DD an Irish name 😂 although an easy one to pronounce, she often gets it spelt wrong as it is unisex. DS has his name lengthened. He recently had issues at college because they put the lengthened version of his name on all of the correspondence and it didn't match his ID! Wouldn't have been a problem if they didn't assume his name was different to what he had put 🤦🏻♀️.SPC 0763

There was someone at school with me who had the same problem. Their name was the shortened version of a name. A teacher was asking, 'what's your proper name?'. They couldn't grasp that it was the shortened version on the birth certificate!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hello everyone
Payday has been and gone, hurrah! I've updated my spreadsheets but haven't done my financials on here yet. I feel absolutely exhausted this week! I just want one day where I don't have to go anywhere.
I worked this morning at an event. I must say it was nice to be doing them again, and I got to meet a new member of staff who I haven't met in person before. I also caught up with two ex-bosses. However, it was chucking it down and cold, and I haven't managed to get properly warm since. An early night beckons I think!
Tomorrow DH is on swimming duty and I've suggested that little miss gives parkrun a miss this week as it will be very wet, muddy and quite possibly flooded. I have my flu jab in the afternoon, but I'm hoping to have a quieter day apart from that.
I went back to work for a day this week, and it was nice to be back. It's the first time in the office for me for 18 months! It was nice to have a proper desk, and it was nice to not have to think about anyone other than me for the day. I think I'm going to enjoy the mix of home and office.
I paid the window bill and DH needs to reimburse me for half of that. It's going to be a tight month, but I've got a couple of birthdays and various other things. Hopefully I'll have a less non-essential spendy month.
Ebay seems to be picking up so I must make the effort to get stuff listed. Hopefully it will encourage DH to do more then.
Hope everyone is well"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3 -
