Just back from a quick wander around the local boot sale. It was nice to do something like that again. I was very good and didn't buy anything 😇.
This afternoon we are going to sell at another boot sale. Fingers crossed we clear some stuff! DH says we don't have a huge amount which is good. My shopping will arrive this morning so we will take a picnic.
Yesterday I spent £120 buying clothes for the kids 😱 Little miss seems to have grown out of everything at the same time, so has pretty much got a new wardrobe. Just a couple of t-shirts for little jwil.
Hope everyone is enjoying the sun and the long weekend"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5 -

We are back from the boot sale. We've done quite well, so that's good
A couple of bulky items gone. Considering DH said we didn't have a lot, there seemed to be an awful lot of stuff! We took a picnic, and then bought an ice cream whilst there. I bought a hat for me, but that's it. When we came back we nipped down to the local fair. It was so expensive! We paid £2 each for the kids to go on one ride, but that was it. We've come home for chinese/chippy takeaway which is a nice treat.

Jwil! Look at your mortgage!! Its vanishing! You're doing so well on all fronts. Debt is disappearing and so is the clutter. 5 years of hard work slaving away on ebay and everything else. That's so amazing. Be proud.
I hope you get an electrician soon. I have heard that workmen across the board are in such high demand right now. Keep trying. You'll get there.

Keep going brilliant lady xxxWe're getting there. I think I'll feel more comfortable when we could get the mortgage on one salary, so that's why I want to get it down as a priority. We're really benefitting from the low interest rates as the majority of our payment is going to the balance now, so that plus the PADs is really having an impact
How is everything with you?

Some of the prices are quite scary for kids clothes. This is just from the supermarkets so I got more for my money than some places! I was going to get myself a couple of tops for in case I go back to work, but I think that can wait for a bit until I know for sure.
