I will replace it. Err maybe when it's dead. It's on the list xxx"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -
savingholmes said:We did replace our boiler for a combi one and got our garage door replaced at the same time. It made a major difference to our heating costs - and we got our airing cupboard back and space in the loft. We had never serviced the previous boiler or had specific problems we just wanted to sort it before a big problem hit. We never had decent shower pressure before - but now we do.
Hope you manage to nurse yours along until you are ready to fix it.
I think we'll see a massive difference in our energy bills when we come to replace our windows. It always sounds like there is a window open with the traffic noise (they are double glazed!) and whilst we had the storms the last couple of weeks, it was very eye opening to see the curtains blowing in the wind when everything was closed!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". We had a nice day out yesterday at 'We the curious' in Brizzle-land. The kids loved it and it would be good to go back again a time it's not so busy.
Little miss has a nasty cough so I didn't get much sleep last night, especially as I was crammed in little jwil's bed as he went in ours as he couldn't sleep with the noiseDon't feel like going to aqua aerobics but I will go. I'm not doing much of the healthy eating at the moment, I must get back to it as I think my weight is going up again!
DH is covering half term and seems to have been busy today sorting stuff out. It's giving me a chance to do some extra hours too to build up my flexi. Loads of work on so it's handy to have the extra time.
I've bought the overcoming depression book I was using last year. My mood was awful over the weekend, so I thought it would be good to own it rather than have to keep trying to borrow it from the library. Hopefully I can dip in and out, and work hard on this."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Yes, you are right. I have wondered whether I came off them too quickly, but I suffered from low mood last year too whilst on them. I think they worked very well for my anxiety, but did nothing for the depression. I don't know whether I'll go back or whether to stick it out a bit longer.pennywisepoundstupid said:Glad you had a lovely day out and hope little one is feeling brighter. Thank you. I don't think I can face going back, I tried four different lots of tablets last year, and then wasn't 'bad' enough for counselling. I think I'm going to work through my book and hope that makes a difference - it did help last year going through the bad patch.
I'm also hoping that things will improve when spring finally arrives!
