Thank you guys. I hate feeling like this, it's so exhausting"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney2

We had our boiler serviced today and no issues thankfully. However the chap reckoned that we'll only get a year or two more out of it. That's insane as it's only 11 years old! I think it's a pretty rubbish boiler actually, so he could be right. It's on my radar, though I won't be replacing it until forced to. I will want to investigate what sustainable options there are as well, so hopefully I'll get a good few more years (or even 10+!) out of it.
We also got our switch bonus today from when we moved our joint account. I wasn't sure I was going to get it, as you have to pay in £1500 per calendar month, and for one month, I accidentally moved the money on the 31st of the previous month, and the 1st of the following month, so I did miss one! Anyway, with that bonus, I have booked us all a Sun holiday weekend in Cornwall next month. I think a break away from everything is sorely needed. Just hope the weather dries up a bit between now and then!
I'm making a concerted effort to find my way round the site, and catch up on diaries. Not having the daily digest means I have to make the effort to come on here and find threads rather than just clicking through from the email. It has reduced the time I spend on here significantly as I don't see the new threads the same way I used to."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney5 -
3 days off for me, then DH is covering half term.
No ballet today, so we can just stay at home out of the weather. This morning I've sorted through the kids pens and stationary. Had to throw away a load of pens without lidsbut they are all in one place now. I've managed to get my stash of pens back on my desk which the kids have slowly been pinching!
I've also found an app to remove all the duplicate photos on the computer, so that seems to have worked. It will save lots of time when sorting the photos eventually! I've done a malware search, and worked through all the cleansing options on CC cleaner. It's been a while since I've done that so should free up some space.
It's nice just to potter about.
Hope everyone's having a good weekend, and keeping safe in the weather!"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney5 -

It was quite wild yesterday, not so bad today but the rain has started again. It's very flooded all over the place though. I definitely can't wait for spring!

I'm terrible for downloading photos more than once as I can't remember if I've already done it! I still need to go through now and sort out the ones which are very similar, but at least the actual duplicates are gone."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney4 -
I think they always tell you stuff is on it's way out. We were told 3 years ago our boiler was on it's way out. Actually they tell us that every year but it's still running with no problems so far (I know I'm jinxing myself).
I will replace it. Err maybe when it's dead. It's on the list xxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000
Loan 2 £300/£5800
Total £5500/£138005 -
We did replace our boiler for a combi one and got our garage door replaced at the same time. It made a major difference to our heating costs - and we got our airing cupboard back and space in the loft. We had never serviced the previous boiler or had specific problems we just wanted to sort it before a big problem hit. We never had decent shower pressure before - but now we do.
Hope you manage to nurse yours along until you are ready to fix it.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
