Today has gone well. I got up at 6 this morning to find little miss already up and dressed ready for school
She loved being back. Little jwil did too, so that's a relief. I also loved having the quiet to concentrate! I walked them down this morning, so have had some exercise too, bonus! It's about a mile each way.
We sold 17 items in the end over the weekend, all have paid except for 2 items which are going to the same person. They bought some from us last week, so hopefully they will pay soon. All the other ones have been posted.
I prepped a healthy lunch for me whilst I was doing little jwil's lunchbox. It means at lunchtime I've got something to grab and eat rather than having to prep something. I should try and do that more often as it will stop me grabbing something quickly (usually unhealthy)."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Another good-ish day today. I walked the kids to school and did a healthy lunch as well.
Dentist tomorrow for me and the kids, not something I look forward to! Fingers crossed nothing needs done."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -

I forgot that little jwil was meant to be dressing up today, oops! He didn't seem to mind, though it's wasted the money I spent before Christmas getting his outfit. I bought trousers which he will wear anyway, and a furry gilet which he didn't like (he was meant to be stone age), so it's just the gilet really.
Me and the kids have been to the dentist and all ok with nothing being done, so that's a relief, and just the check up fee to pay.
I've had the letter from my creditor confirming that my account is now closedThey say that any future claim I make against them will be put towards the balance, but otherwise won't chase payment. I'm not fussed as I've already had a PPI refund from them (and they didn't put that towards the balance) so can't see what else I'd be claiming
DH's car has been to the garage today and needs £900 of repairs 😱 It's something that he knew was coming up, so not a real surprise, but I've nagged suggested that it's better it's done now while he's not working rather than having him break down on the way to work or on the way home or something. I've decided I'm not going to go back and make the offers on the two accounts, and will focus on trying to build up my savings, or help contribute to this bill. It's reminded me that a £900 bill would still be a problem if it was my car so I want to build up a nice pot of savings. I've still got the one offer outstanding so will see if that one comes back with anything. I've cleared one debt this year, and so have achieved something. I can go back next year and try and do another one"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
